[Wanda learned years ago how to hide her true feelings behind a calm, almost bored expression. She knew how to control her body language to seem relaxed when she wasn't, and how to rely on subtle nuances of tone to get her point across. So it's not difficult to hide the anxiousness and tension she feels in her Water sector suite. She's separated from her brother, really separated, for the first time in her life, and also from the team she's come to trust and rely on. In some ways, she even considered them her friends.

Lips pursed, she flips on the console in her suite and leans back in her chair, by all appearances entirely unruffled by her current circumstances. Dressed in her Ultimates uniform, she crosses one leg over the other and periodically takes sips from the glass of water in her hand.

Those familiar with her alternate universe counterpart might notice a striking resemblance to the Scarlet Witch they know. Though she's at least ten years younger, her hair darker and straighter, and her uniform entirely different, her face and bearing are remarkably similar.]

[After a brief pause she continues, though the words are completely foreign to Wanda.]

[Well, if Wanda ever wondered if Tommy was related, his immediate defense proves he's inherited something from his uncle.]

[It takes him a moment to realise what he said.]

[It's almost decisively that Wanda replies.]

The family. Alternate universes may be involved, however...the term still applies, I think. Unless you have any objection?

[He looks at the image, and looks awkward. Sure he's had Billy, and the Kaplan boys, and Mrs and Mr Doctor Kaplan's trying to integrate him into society, but when it came to family, Tommy is really at a loss. The team was his family, and that's just as broken and damaged as his original one.

There's a small pause as he thinks, before he gives her a meek smile.]

I gotta warn you, I come with baggage. [He's kidding. Mostly.]

[Wanda raises an eyebrow at that, giving him a smile that's more sad and knowing than it is warm or happy.]

I rather think everyone from our family does, no matter what dimension. However you can rest assured I won't pry into yours simply because of our family connection.

[He gives a small shrug.]

I don't care. [He's never been one to specifically hide things about himself, but nobody ever had asked him. Just assumed he was some teenage delinquint and his scars were from the accident. Instead of the torture. He wouldn't hide it if she asked, but he wasn't about to have a pity party either.

But the phrase 'our family' has him getting warm and fuzzy, and even though he's trying to tell himself that no this isn't his Wanda, she's not going to be like Wanda back home, he can't help but give her a warm smile.]

I mean, nobody asks, so. Whatever. I was kinda kidding.

[Yes, she believes that entirely Tommy. You don't care, you were kidding. People in the Lehnsherr do not have baggage at all, and the baggage they have is never anything that affects him for life. Right.

But they've only just met, and Wanda reminds herself that no matter how much Tommy reminds her of Pietro, he is not her brother.]
