[ The image of a rather ordinary, unremarkable looking man fills the screen. He’s clean-shaven, wearing a pair of black-framed glasses, and he’s got brown hair, cut short and though it’s a little messy, there’s something about it that suggests that it had been styled at one point earlier in the day. He’s just slightly disheveled, which those familiar with the comings and goings of individuals to Keeliai might recognize as a sign of a new arrival. ]

So this is… [ There’s a moment of silence, as he trails off and glances away from the camera. ] …different.

[ It only lasts for a second, before he looks back and rolls his eyes. ]

The whole—I mean, well… Whatever.

[ He takes a deep breath, lets it out, and pulls himself together. ]

Right, okay. I was given a place to live but no job, and I’m guessing that it isn’t free rent forever. So if there’s, I don’t know, a job center? Help wanted ads? Some turtle world version of Craigslist? Something? Could someone point me in the right direction?

[ It's possible it's just a name. The name of a guy who has a thing for ice, talks to the wind, and can fly.

[ That's not actually what he was going to say, but sometimes his mouth slips the leash his brain puts on it. ]

But the answer is no, not literally. Unless someone shows up here made of candy, because that's different piece of hail.

I think if anyone showed up who was made of candy, they would have more people than just you trying to take a nibble.

[ Okay, that just sounds stupid. How does he get himself into these conversations? ]

Sorry. Still kind of new to the whole... everything. I hate when people ask me stupid crap like that too. So, yeah. Sorry.

[ But sometimes it's good to have completely random and pointless conversations and Jack's laughing now, not at Justin but just in reflection of a good mood. ]

It's okay, really! It wasn't stupid at all, it was having fun. Trust me, that's not something I'm ever going to take lightly.

[ But he will at least try to get their conversation back on track. ]

Did you need anything that you haven't found since you've got here, other than a job?

[hammer]

So fun's okay here? That's something we can have?

[ Justin hasn't had fun in ages, between work and his former obsession with Iron Man suits and jail. But he'd like to now that he's away from all of that if at all possible. ]

Probably, but not yet. I mean, I've got enough to be getting on with for now.

[ Oh Justin... ]

Yeah, fun's definitely okay here. It's a thing.

[ You may have just earned yourself +1 (thus far invisible) Guardian lookout for a little while with a remark like that because who has to ask permission for fun? ]

There's one thing. Don't forget story hour. Or hours. I want to hear all about, well, everything. Deliveries can be hairy sometimes, I know. Just let me know when you've got some down time and what to give it a whirl. I'll try to think up something interesting enough for you in the meantime. In addition to the flying space whales.
