[There’s a beautiful, dark skinned girl with choppy hair looking at ease with the console as she turns the video feed on. She actually looks pretty calm, other than the nervous movement of her hands, as if she doesn’t know what to do with them, and the way she keeps looking around her, as if she can’t believe where she is. After a second, she gives a hesitant smile.] It’s kind of nice to use one of these and not worry about any of the problems that come with it. [Problems being that technology and demigods don’t exactly mix, you know.]

I was wondering if anyone could fill me on the situation? I couldn’t get any answers from the guys who brought me to this suite, which is really nice, by the way. [She sounds a little put out by that, the fact that she couldn’t get answers.] My name is Piper. [No last name, in case people here know her dad, and then she has to go through that awkward explanation phase that, yes, her dad was that hot guy in those movies.]

I’m also looking for my friends. Particularly a guy named Jason. Blond, really good looking, he likes to follow rules. [A grin now.] Although, I guess if any of them are here, they’ll find me this way.

[She'll do whatever she wants!! But she waves off the concern.] I knew what I was getting into.

Mhmm. Think of it like a battery turtle. As for her continued trend of pulling people through, I have no idea how she's still doing it. But she wasn't in attendance at the last audience, so there's no telling what state she's in.

[A nod.] That doesn't mean I'm not going to worry about you.

Maybe she's conserving all of her power to bring in more people, then. Which doesn't make a lot of sense. You'd think she'd be doing what she could to help her turtle out.

[She opens her mouth to object - then promptly closes it. Her face is a cross between grateful and awkward.] There... shouldn't be much to worry about. It's all over with now. [And she got to watch herself fall into hell in the process, good times! 8Db]

Apparently that's what we're here for. To help the turtle out, to save him from this threat. So, the more of us she has, the better?

[No, Annabeth. That's not how worrying works.] And she's definitely not about to come back around and demand for more of whatever? [e_e]

What are we supposed to do?

[Annabeth shakes her head with absolute confidence.] No. I made sure it would be a one time thing. [And she might have outsmarted Eshai a little in the process aww yeah.]

[She sighs.] Good question. A lot of that's still up in the air. Evandau recently gave a bunch of tasks for foreigners to follow up on, but it's honestly the most we've gotten in a while.

Though there's a lot to go over. Preferably off-console.

[A pause before Piper grins.] Of course you did. Look at who I'm talking to.

[She leans back, tapping her fingers on the table a bit. Plotting and figuring out stuff like this isn't exactly her forte, and there's so much information that she really isn't sure what to make of it yet, and she has this feeling it's only the tip of the iceberg...] When can we meet up then? [Because I miss you and you fell into a terrible place and you're going to get an awkward hug, Annabeth.]

[She can't help her own prideful grin, because it never hurts to hear that sort of thing.] See? Told you. Nothing to worry about.

[Annabeth pauses to consider the question, because - well, she'd really like to see Piper in person, too.] I can swing by whenever you're done catching up with Jason? [Small quirk of a knowing smile.] Or you can come to me, but
I'm more familiar with the layout of this place. What's your suite?

[Still going to worry, though. Sorry, Annabeth.

And then there's maybe a small smirk on her face at the mention of catching up with Jason.] After Jason is probably a good idea. [:3c] I'm in EA-3B, but maybe I should come to you. Exploring a little bit will do me some good. It'll be like an adventure.

[She gets it gurlfrand, she spent hours hauled up with Percy after he first showed.]

[But she nods, number memorized and already calculating where Piper's suite is.] It's up to you. Percy and I are in Metal, though, ME-1A. Metal and Earth are right next to each other, so it's not too far to travel.

[Piper nods. Maybe she could get Jason to take her on a tour, too. That would probably help.]

I'll drop by in a few hours, if you're not too busy then?

No, that should be fine. [Definitely maybe smiling by the time she finishes that sentence, because gdi she's missed you Piper

]

[A grin now. Piper's seriously like this whole 'being missed' thing.] Great, I'll be by in a few.

[And drop by she does. She gets a little lost along the way, turned around by some kedan merchant's bad directions - or misleading directions. Piper's not really sure. But she doesn't let it bother her too much once she finds Annabeth's suite and knocks.]

[She's only really expecting one person - one person who'd knock, at any rate - so when Annabeth hears it, she scrambles up from her spot on the couch and forgets to shove a bookmark in her book.]

[She gets to the door quickly enough, pulling it open with a grin. Her face softens when she sees her friend, and she lets out a sort of sigh.] Hey, Piper.

[There's a moment of hesitation, then she tugs at the other girl's arm to drag her inside, because apparently waiting for her to do it herself is not fast enough.]

Hey, Anna- [Oh, whoops, being dragged inside of the suite now, before she can even get her friend's whole name out of her mouth. Piper laughs, feeling more at ease than she has in awhile, especially because this is Annabeth. She's here, and she's okay.

Piper would like to say that she thinks before acting, that she doesn't just randomly throw herself at people, but that'd be a lie. She's throwing her arms around Annabeth before she even realizes it, hugging her tightly.] It's good to see you.

[Annabeth has never been too much of a hugger - especially not to people she doesn't consider friends. But Piper definitely fits that category, and when she throws her arms around her, Annabeth easily reciprocates.]

[She reciprocates a little more openly and emotionally than she means to, her arms tightening as she just lets herself stay there. She's missed Piper, so much, and even though it's another reminder of the weight of Tartarus ahead of her, she's just so glad to see her. And maybe Tartarus is part of why she's hugging a little harder, too - just a combination of what's behind her and what's ahead of her, and in being able to hug Piper right now despite that.]

You, too. [And her tone is a lot more honest than she intended, but the simple act of Piper hugging her is sort of pushing that through; she hasn't really taken comfort in anyone except for Percy lately, hasn't really let herself do so. Not even Rachel, not to the same extent.] I've really missed you.

[It's even better when Annabeth hugs her back. She knows that her friend really isn't that kind of a person, but hey. Everyone needs a little comfort every now and then, and even if they're completely ignoring the Tartarus elephant here, she knows that Annabeth has to be worrying about it.]

I know, being stuck with Percy all this time must have been terrible. [The sarcasm is strong with this one.

She gives one final squeeze before taking a step back. No need to encroach on Annabeth's personal space for too long.]

[The remark gets a laugh out of her, short but still honest, and she's grinning when she pulls back herself, making a sweeping gesture behind her.]

Take a look at the disaster that is now my suite and you'll understand just how terrible. [There's not a drop of malice in her tone. But to be fair, parts of the living room are a complete mess. Parts that look like they'd belong to Percy.]

[It definitely looks like a boy lives here - or well, a boy that aren't particularly Jason, that is. It's not something she's used to seeing from Annabeth. Actually, it's kind of jarring.]

You sound really torn up over the hurricane that is your lounge. [A grin.] So. You're living together now?

An actual hurricane might be preferable. [It drives her crazy - the clutter, the mess, the constant moving of things. But Percy's there, and that always seems to trump it.]

[She grins back, a little weakly.] It just kind of... happened.

Can't Percy actually make hurricanes? [So it's like. Almost literal, right?

Her eyebrows might be waggling just a tiny bit.] Where does he sleep?

[A short laugh.] Hurricane Percy. Well, that's pretty accurate. [As she kicks a sock across the room.]

[She makes a bit of a face.] Don't even start. [Pause.] He was on the couch at first.

Do you want help cleaning up or something? [Toeing a shirt now. Really, Percy. Is is that hard to keep clothes in a pile?]

What, me? I'm not starting anything. [Guuuurl.] Meaning he's where now?

I wouldn't want to subject you to that. It's brutal. [Worse than lava walls, really.] Besides, it always seems to come right back.

[That first bit gets A Look, a look of I don't believe you for a second, before jumping into the question.] The roof. [:T] Where do you think?

Yeah, but I feel kind of bad that you have to stare at it. [At least it doesn't look gross, just messy. There's a huge difference between those two.

Piper doesn't even bother to hide a smirk.] So he's been upgraded to the bed. Gleeson would be pretty mad if he was here.

I have my space. I don't have to stare at it there. [It'd probably be a lot more frustrating if she didn't.]

[She huffs up, but there's a lack of embarrassment over it.] Good thing he's not here. Not that it would matter either way.
