[ The audio clicks on and there's a long pause. When Kyle speaks, his tone is calm, perfectly controlled. It's his Business Voice, blank save for the barest hint of anger. ]

This is Kyle Rayner of the Green Lantern Corps. I apologise for the inconvenience, but our clinic at EA-3B is currently undergoing repairs and won't be able to take more patients at this time. We'll be temporarily operating a backup at WA-1A. [ He attaches a map, showing where it is. ]

Any and all hands with medical experience or healing abilities are always welcome.

[ Another long pause. ]

And if someone could come collect Avatar Korra, that would be appreciated.

[ There is a brief pause, as though he's debating what more to say, before the audio clicks off. ]

[She doesn't speak much, too, and he can work with that. Quite well, actually. He was a silent person, a lot of the time.]

Barrier's meant to keep things out. We've had zombie and spectre invasions because it got overwhelmed by the sheer volume of enemy forces. When we make land there's a bit more space, but usually, it holds.

[zinthosmantra]

[ dryly: ] The zombies I heard about. What happened to the barrier afterward? Did it reform or was it repaired?

[imaginate]

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm banking on reformed itself. It was fine afterwards.

[zinthosmantra]

[ Hm, Raven thought, that implies that the barrier is living or has lifelike properties... an actual part of the turtle? Or something added afterward? So much yet she didn't know. ]

Does this [ a vague gesture to the two of them ] happen often? People arriving that are the same person, but not the same ones others are used to?

[imaginate]

It's pretty normal for this place.

[He leans against a desk, puts his hand in his pockets, and studies her briefly.]

Guessing you're having a few adjustment issues, huh?

[zinthosmantra]

Would you be surprised to hear, not as much as I thought? At least this time didn't start with a distress signal.

[ a beat ]

Unless there was one.

[imaginate]

Not that I heard.

[He's not that surprised either.]

Being kidnapped is sort of par for the course in our line of work, but still. It would've been polite to ask. I don't think any of us would have turned down a request for help.

[zinthosmantra]

Not to mention a lot of us could have come much better equipped to deal with the problem.

[imaginate]

[A shrug.]

I didn't see that. Who's contacted you so far?

Who identified themselves? Kid Flash-- though, not the one I'm familiar with. Anonymously, two others who were from worlds similar enough to pick up on Gotham as a reference.

No, both used encrypted text at a higher level than my own.

[ Higher than she could have achieved with straight coding skill and hers was respectably high from Robin's and Cyborg's tutelage. ]

Any mention of Gotham?

I left a keyphrase in my original message, asking if Metropolis was to Steel City, what was Gotham alike to. Both of the text replies identified other cities I'm familiar with: Star City, for one... but not Steel City.

[imaginate]

[He frowns, and this is a serious concern because he knows almost everywhere in the entire universe.]

Never heard of it.

That's the reaction I've been getting.

But you recognise Star City? What about Coast City?

[zinthosmantra]

Yes... Star, Central, Coast, Midway, Jump City.

[imaginate]

Jump City? Never heard of that either.

That's where the Titans are based.

Not in my universe. [A shrug.] Not a huge deal. You look pretty similar to the Raven I knew, just younger.

[zinthosmantra]

[ The question is there on the tip of her tongue; she both wants and doesn't want to know more about this other Raven. But in the end, she decides this is neither the time nor the place to ask it, not when she'd come under the calling of a healer. ]

How long do you think it will take to repair the other clinic?

[imaginate]

A few days, at most.

[A pause, and he contemplates.]

Don't ask about other universes. Some thing are better off left as mysteries.

[And more than that, she shouldn't end up comparing herself to their Raven.]
