[ The audio clicks on and there's a long pause. When Kyle speaks, his tone is calm, perfectly controlled. It's his Business Voice, blank save for the barest hint of anger. ]

This is Kyle Rayner of the Green Lantern Corps. I apologise for the inconvenience, but our clinic at EA-3B is currently undergoing repairs and won't be able to take more patients at this time. We'll be temporarily operating a backup at WA-1A. [ He attaches a map, showing where it is. ]

Any and all hands with medical experience or healing abilities are always welcome.

[ Another long pause. ]

And if someone could come collect Avatar Korra, that would be appreciated.

[ There is a brief pause, as though he's debating what more to say, before the audio clicks off. ]

[Bean notices the change in encryption and files it away for later.]

I'm fine. We're fine. Sorry I can't offer any help.

That's all right. You might not want to mention that you associate with me, for the record.

Around who? And why wouldn't I?

Around Korra. It's a little sensitive right now.

I'll keep that in mind. [Though Bean isn't sure why he should.]

Thanks. Wouldn't want you to miss your self-defence classes. [Because of her and her temper, he doesn't add. But Bean is safe with Korra, because Kyle tracks him, sometimes. He doesn't have words for what he'd do if he thought Bean wasn't safe.]

They're coming along well. She's teaching me to block punches and things like that.

Are you alright? After everything that's happened? [Which NO ONE is telling Bean specifics about, frustrating him to no end.]

[A pause, which is him nodding.]

I'm not injured, and neither is anybody at the clinic. We've managed to move them all and I think we'll be fine by this weekend, actually. I've roped in a magician to help.

[Bean can't help but roll his eyes at mention of a "magician." Not that Rayner can see.]

Are powers returned, then?

They returned yesterday.

[He grumbles.]

Honestly, I really preferred being without them.

[No he didn't, he's just indulging his human side for now.]

I didn't. I hated feeling [normal] so dumb.

[Then, the processing kicks in.]

Was Korra's bending involved in shutting the clinic down? [He's seen a demonstration of her firebending abilities.]

I'm sorry. [And he means it.] I didn't realise yours were on that level.

[Beat.]

Yeah. Fire, earthquake, and flood all at once. Would have been a tornado too if I hadn't acted.

I'm different on the genetic level. Technically metahuman. [He says the word like it's shiny and new, and unfamiliar.]

That's... surprising. Why did she act out?

That's like being sort of drunk. You're a metahuman. Maybe not fully realised yet.

[He pauses, contemplatively.]

I've permitted Amon to use the premises for self-defence classes. [And he doesn't exercise caution in expressing this to Bean because well.. the kid knows him. Knows how he isn't stupid, he's keeping an eye on somebody who might be dangerous.] I requested that she sit down and talk about it, she disagreed, and... well. Here we are.

[Bean nods, accepting the explanation, limited as it is.]

Here we are indeed. Again, I'm sorry I can't do much to help you with repairs.
