[ The audio clicks on and there's a long pause. When Kyle speaks, his tone is calm, perfectly controlled. It's his Business Voice, blank save for the barest hint of anger. ]

This is Kyle Rayner of the Green Lantern Corps. I apologise for the inconvenience, but our clinic at EA-3B is currently undergoing repairs and won't be able to take more patients at this time. We'll be temporarily operating a backup at WA-1A. [ He attaches a map, showing where it is. ]

Any and all hands with medical experience or healing abilities are always welcome.

[ Another long pause. ]

And if someone could come collect Avatar Korra, that would be appreciated.

[ There is a brief pause, as though he's debating what more to say, before the audio clicks off. ]

[ Raven shakes it, her grip firm enough for being a much smaller hand in his. ]

Raven... obviously.

[ Still, an incline of her head that usually suffices in place of a smile. She doesn't know him, she hasn't yet found anyone who recognizes her for her but this is close, and she decides this is all right. She mutely lets the still pretty young part slide because she is but it's still weird to hear it stated. ]

Two, as far as I'm aware.

[ She'd tried not to draw attention to herself before joining the Titans and after, the circles had simply never seemed to intersect. ]

How many Titans are there where you're from?

[imaginate]

I... kind of don't count how many.

[A light shrug.]

Roster and team name keep changing. One thing that's the same: once a Titan, always a Titan.

[zinthosmantra]

Kid Flash used the same phrase.

[ Even though he'd given her his actual name, she wouldn't use it except to him if she was asked... it felt strange calling him by anything other than his moniker.

Then, she gets back to business: ]

Was there an accident at the main clinic?

[imaginate]

It's catchy.

[He'll use Kid Flash, too, he doesn't know if Bart's talked to her as a civilian yet and he isn't about to give out somebody's secret identity.]

Yeah, fire, earthquake, and flood all at once. Thank Korra for that.

[He's... mostly gotten over being angry.]

[zinthosmantra]

[ It implies that some people are no longer Titans, was what Raven was thinking. ]

Is... this something we regularly thank Korra for?

[ Is this person a problem? ]

[imaginate]

[Dry:] I sure hope not.

[She'd better not do it again, but it's likely it could happen.]

[zinthosmantra]

[ Raven hasn't been here long enough to get enough information on the vast spread of people who are here, but this Korra person definitely just moved up the list of investigations. She glances toward the clinic's door, then back to Kyle. ]

Anything else I should know?

[imaginate]

There's a couple of B-class villains from our worlds, but no heavy hitters. You'll know who they are soon enough, and anyway, you're sticking with the Titans so it's not a huge problem.

[He waves her inside, intending to show her around.]

[zinthosmantra]

[ Raven thinks of Livewire's post on the network and nods; trusting that Kyle would tell her if there were anyone she should be especially concerned about. But his last comment about sticking with the Titans struck her as a little peculiar as she follows him inside, lowering her hood as she enters the building; without it, her age was even more evident. ]

How long have you been here?

[imaginate]

Almost seven months.

[Christ, she's young. He tries not to think about it.]

[ Once inside, Raven's gaze moved around the modest clinic before returning to Kyle, silently inviting him to continue along the same vein if he wanted to elaborate on that. It was redundant to say that she'd already tried to teleport herself out of here... her range had been limited (as their all had) to within the barrier that encompassed Tu Vishan. ]

[imaginate]

[She doesn't speak much, too, and he can work with that. Quite well, actually. He was a silent person, a lot of the time.]

Barrier's meant to keep things out. We've had zombie and spectre invasions because it got overwhelmed by the sheer volume of enemy forces. When we make land there's a bit more space, but usually, it holds.

[zinthosmantra]

[ dryly: ] The zombies I heard about. What happened to the barrier afterward? Did it reform or was it repaired?

[imaginate]

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm banking on reformed itself. It was fine afterwards.

[zinthosmantra]

[ Hm, Raven thought, that implies that the barrier is living or has lifelike properties... an actual part of the turtle? Or something added afterward? So much yet she didn't know. ]

Does this [ a vague gesture to the two of them ] happen often? People arriving that are the same person, but not the same ones others are used to?

[imaginate]

It's pretty normal for this place.

[He leans against a desk, puts his hand in his pockets, and studies her briefly.]

Guessing you're having a few adjustment issues, huh?

[zinthosmantra]

Would you be surprised to hear, not as much as I thought? At least this time didn't start with a distress signal.

[ a beat ]

Unless there was one.

[imaginate]

Not that I heard.

[He's not that surprised either.]

Being kidnapped is sort of par for the course in our line of work, but still. It would've been polite to ask. I don't think any of us would have turned down a request for help.

[zinthosmantra]

Not to mention a lot of us could have come much better equipped to deal with the problem.

[imaginate]

[A shrug.]

I didn't see that. Who's contacted you so far?

Who identified themselves? Kid Flash-- though, not the one I'm familiar with. Anonymously, two others who were from worlds similar enough to pick up on Gotham as a reference.

No, both used encrypted text at a higher level than my own.

[ Higher than she could have achieved with straight coding skill and hers was respectably high from Robin's and Cyborg's tutelage. ]
