First time
[when the console clicks on, it doesn't look like the guy messing with it really expected it to. He was pressing buttons, finding out what the options where. his experience with cameras is also very, very limited. He presses the button again, and it switches off and to text.]
i'm new around here. not sure who this goes out to, but can someone tell me where i can find a news paper, or a job listings page? i'd appreciate it.
[there's a long, long pause, before he decides to add something else, this time switching it to video again. He seems to have figured out the camera, though he's still giving the camera a mostly apprehensive look]
Also, who checks these things? Do they go out to the whole city?
[a sigh, a bit annoyed, whether with the situation or his lack of understanding on what's going on with this form of mass communication is anyone's guess]
I'm Mako, if there's anyone listening.

I'm Mako, if there's anyone listening.
Action;
You've gotta be the bigger person.
[he steps closer and rests his forehead on hers.]
You're fine, now. And no one got hurt, but I don't think hiding's going to help, Korra.
Action;
But yeah, I guess so, huh?
[She couldn't help but give a small smile when their foreheads touched, and she leaned forward so her nose was touching Mako's.]
Already making a difference on your first day. Not bad Mr. Hat-Trick.
[After all, he had got the message others have tried to get across since the clinic happened.]
Action;
I don't blame you, I really, really don't.
[he was even there to help, at the very least, if something like that happened again, as much as he could. For right then, talking through it was better than nothing.]
Just let me know if you need moral support or something.
[He rubs his nose against hers a bit]
Action;
Any support from you is support I want. I’ll settle for “or something” too.
[With a very small laugh that was mostly breath, Korra puckered her lips lightly so they touched his.]
Action;
You've got as much support as you want, whenever you need it.
[pause]
Or as much "or something", if you want it.
Action;
Good to know. I might call you on both those soon. I think we should find you a job first though. Rent and bills are free, but food isn't and I don't think you'd want to live off sea prunes and fish.
Action;
Yeah, I know. With what they gave me, I should be fine for about a month. Maybe a week or so after that.
[it was doable, especially with just feeding himself and not his brother this once... So, he'd make that last as long as he needed to.]
I'm not gonna be particularly picky about anything.
Action;
Well if you ever want some Southern Water Tribe grub, I’m right here in the Metal Sector. Fishing’s my job and I get to keep any extra catch, so I’m never low on the protein. Push comes to shove, you might just have to share dinner with me over there.
[Pointing her thumb over her shoulder at her suite, Korra gave a half smirk. Then something crossed her mind, and she tilted her head a bit.]
Maybe you can find something with Wayne or Stark. They’re both big businesses that hire foreigners. Hey, you’re good with numbers, so maybe an accounting job?
[A beat.]
Wow, that sounds really boring. I really miss pro-bending. [They would actually be able to keep their winnings now. The irony.]
Action;
Really, really boring. So, maybe he was being a bit picky.]
Thanks, Korra. I'll take you up on the offer, if I ever need to. [and even sometimes if he didn't, there was no way he wouldn't stop by and visit her ever, honestly.]
Pro-bending would be great if it was here... but it probably won't ever be.
About those companies you listed earlier... I really, really doubt I could be an accountant for anyone besides me and Bolin. Trust me. But, what type of companies are they?
[He enjoyed pro-bending, but he just didn't see a league starting up here with so few benders...]
Action;
Well, I know Stark does a lot of stuff like Sato Industries did. Making new things with different ideas. Wayne on the other hand does construction work and property stuff and has offices too I think. There’s more than that, but I never asked directly about it.
[There hadn’t been a reason to until now. Fishing was familiar and ridiculously easy for her to do with waterbending.]
Action;
You know where they're located, by any chance?
[he'd find it himself otherwise, but... His natural talents included generating electricity. Something it looked like they had no problem with here. So, gotta find other options.]
Action;
Well Stark Industries is in the Fire Sector. I think Wayne Enterprises is in the Earth Sector, but you can always ask him on the network.
[Korra had never met him, but she had sent Tony a message when she first met him, so why not the same with Bruce.]
Action;
I'll find them, and ask. Can't hurt.
[it would be easier if there were job listings, but sometimes, asking is what you had to do.]
Action;
[And patient considering who her boss was.]
Either way, let me know when you get one. Then I can take you to this tea shop in the Fire Sector, they have great tea and a good menu even though it’s kinda high class.
Re: Action;
[he looks kind of unsure, at that. He knows, for sure, that he does not have the clothes for that, and it seemed kind of strange for Korra to pick out a high class restaurant. He expected that from Asami, she was used to it.
Still, he doesn't write off the suggestion entirely, though he does want to know where it came from]
You sure? I'm okay with something like Narook's.
Action;
It was recommended to me by one of the other foreigners, she was really nice, so I thought why not give it a shot.
[She shrugged, her head tilted against her raised shoulder.]
There’s a couple of places like that. Actually, there’s this outdoor café that serves good food and
[She leans in to Mako, her hand by her mouth as if she was revealing a secret.]
I can get us hot chocolate with whipped cream.
[With a smirk, she waggled eyebrows and winked.]
Action; waugh my HTML last comment ;~;
He finally processes that enough to have a conscious reaction.]
Oh, yeah?
[He raises an eyebrow at her, attention all on her. Even the seriousness from a couple of moments ago is dropped entirely.]
That doesn't sound half bad.
No one will notice, shhh. And sorry for Korra. /facedesk
Yeah, it’s the best! I only just started being able to order whipped cream, and now I get it for free every time I stop by from fishing. I don’t why it’s scarce in Keeliai, but it’s sooooo good on that chocolate. Even in Summer.
[A content smile on her face at the thought, Korra reached over and grabbed his arm.]
Come on, let’s go get you on that console and get you some work!
ksjdhfskdjf HAHAHA /dying
What was that? The wink, the smirk? THE EYEBROW WAGGLE? He could facepalm. He was extremely tempted to, but he settles for a sigh-- though he tries to keep some of the disappointment out of it.]
It's rare here, huh? I had no clue.
