There was a notice a few days ago from Miss Ayala about the possibility of starting a school. I haven't worked out all of the details yet but it looks like I'll be acting as Headmaster.

If you're going to be involved in the school in any way, I'd like if we could become acquainted. If we haven't been introduced yet, my name is Tarrlok.

Thank you for your time, and I do hope that this project is a success. [Because kids need something to keep them out of trouble.]

We spoke before on my arrival, quite some time ago, monsieur. At home, I was reading law, and several of my friends as well. Obviously the laws are different here, and there are several factors of practicing here that would need to be considered, once that law is learned, if it is even a way, but provided that research was conducted, should this school become a reality, I would like to establish something of a law class here.

If there is a space that could accommodate this, once the school you speak of is established, I would like to speak further of these things.

Of course. I studied law, myself, when I was younger.

Ah wonderful, then you are better equipped than others might be to understand what I am trying to say so poorly here. There is much that would be needed, and so many things that anyone attempting would need to learn again, but we DO have our copies of the laws to get things started at the least.

Perhaps if I begin reviewing those, make certain that this goal is reasonable...

[Yes, he's listened to the laws through on a few occasions, and made notes but even so. Better to be prepared. Sort of prepared. Knowing the laws and how to practice them in a foreign land are of course two different things and Enjolras is not so naive as to forget that.]

I agree that it would benefit all of us if more of us were familiar with the laws. Perhaps if enough of us are experienced in the laws of this place, the Emperor will have to acknowledge us. Or maybe we can regulate ourselves without her interference at all.

Quite, yes. I think that many of us are willing enough to band together to defend Tu Vashan now. The last few weeks prove that, but to do so with some sort of sovereignty of our own behind it... That could have so much greater of an impact.

I've been rallying for foreigner sovereignty since my arrival, though my efforts have been...distracted, as of late. You're welcome to teach whatever you like.

Excellent, then. Now that things have settled down, and everything else seems back in order, perhaps we will have also gained new ammunition we could use there. I look forward to it.

The Commander did hint that he'd be more willing to listen to me if I proved myself somehow, and my mission during the last few weeks ended in success. I'll have to see if he keeps his word.

[Is he hopeful? Nope. But it doesn't hurt to try.]

[Idly, it occurs to him that perhaps he could find some way to play up the danger of facing Malicant and see if that gets him access to anything important. He might be willing to try playing the... Not that Enjolras is finishing that thought, but he had it. At any rate, the news so far is good so he will take that.]

Then i have much to begin memorizing when it comes to the legal code here, I think. On that off chance.

I hope it will. And yes, getting started on that as early as possible is a good idea.
