[The video flicks on to show Bourne seated in front of the screen at a cafe. His nose is swollen and possibly broken and blood covers his shirt. Costigan is standing awkwardly not far behind him. To anyone remotely trained, it's clear that Costigan's left shoulder is dislocated. Both men show subtle signs of bruises developing in their faces.]

[Bourne speaks first.] Can anyone recommend a doctor in or near the Wood Sector?

You have any idea what kind of medical treatment they have here? Thanks a lot, asshole. [Costigan's pretty much muttering from the background.]

[Bourne totally ignores this.] We just need someone who can reset his shoulder. And possibly my nose. [There's a pause, and when he speaks again, he sounds dead serious with nary a hint of Blatant Lies.] He fell out of a tree.

[Costigan shows no sign of disputing the obvious lie, but he cuts in anyway.] Tell Reid I'm fine.

Reid? He's fine, apparently. [Bourne's 'tree' canard does not go any way towards explaining why he has a busted-up face too. It was a tree, dammit. Trees everywhere.]

[Black is Jason Bourne ([personal profile] brokenweapon), navy blue is Billy Costigan ([personal profile] lostundercover)]

[He knows something is afoot, after that message from the Emperor, and - he'll be over here offering a slight diversion. For people either staying safe or - well. Keeping an eye on the foreigners.]

Hi, all. Name's Sergeant Bucky Barnes, and since I figure there's a number of new people here who are still likely to get mixed up with the technology available, I though I'd offer some help.

If you want a bit of teaching about it from somebody who didn't grow up with computers and mobile phones and such, feel free to hit me up, either over these - the consoles - or directly in Wood sector, suite in tree WO-1A.

Bucky out.

[One of the first things you learn in the Turks is not to let your shitty mood interfere with your work. One of the other things he's learned in his time is that having too much pride makes an excellent painkiller. He's sort of come to turns with the fact that he doesn't know this place well enough yet to not ask for help, but by george is he ever unhappy about it. He can, however, do a quick once over of the last few months on the network and hide the fact that he is in agony right now - it's probably obvious that he's hurting, but he's also going ahead and acting like it's no big deal.

Have one battered and bloody redhead speaking to you all casually and whatnot, Keeliai!]

Just for reference: This definitely isn't the Lifestream?

[because that would suck. but he also feels like he'd know if he was dead, and so he presses on with that same tone.]

[SHRUG] Anyway, uh. I could really use a doctor or a heal or a potion, if any of those are things you have around here. [...] And a new shirt, while I'm at it.

Thanks. [should he introduce himself? ??? ??] Name's Reno, by the way.

[Mera looks less than pleased as she stands in front of the terminal, arms folded over her chest. It's probably about time she spoke to people herself but she's not happy about it. Gotta try to be less grouchy than Arthur though]

I really do not appreciate being plucked out of the sea like some kind of fish. I don't appreciate being tossed into a cart after being plucked from the sea either. I'm not a trout waiting to be sold in a market. [She's really just complaining because this is weird. Better to complain than to seem lost]

Did if ever occur to anyone that I might be happier in the sea? No, of course not. Why would you ask someone if they would rather stay in the water than be brought up onto land.

[She lets out a calming breath, pinching the bridge of her nose]

I'm sorry. Being irritated really won't help anything and it's not the point right now anyway. What I want to know is how many people here are familiar with Atlantis, have heard of it or are even from there? I know my husband has already spoken to some of you but I want to speak to you myself. It's not all that important but I'm curious. [She considers asking about the Justice League too but she knows that some of Arthur's "friends" are rather secretive. That might not be received well]

That's it, I suppose. This is nonsense...
