He wants to be done with this place, or maybe stop people from disappearing, and for all of these, he needs information. And to get information efficiently - as Una pointed out, one needs to find a way to talk to the Emperor without pissing her off. ]

[ Which Bucky definitely wasn't feeling up for, when she made her broadcast. But there would be other opportunities, he's sure, and he'd rather make ready. ]

Sorry to bother you, but I was thinking... it's been brought up that the Emperor doesn't react too well to getting asked the same thing over and over again. So maybe if those who've been to audiences share what they've asked - answers entirely voluntary, obviously - that might make it easier for all of us, next time we get a chance.

Yeah, she is. But I'm pretty sure you won't find out how if you start that way.

There've been people who've gotten quite a bit of productive work, together with her. And, obviously, our presence here is because of her work, so.

I was perfectly reasonable when I first spoke to her. I even offered to help. She's the one that decided to act like a child because basic diplomacy was beyond her, so you see why I'm skeptical.

Right. Yeah. I didn't say she was without reason, that's the kid up there. Just that I don't wanna aggravate her. And getting asked the same things all over again kinda seems to have that effect.

You got something useful out of your audience? Or did you talk to her when she showed up over the network?

I was present at the last audience, yes. As the representative for my people here I was concerned they would have been...misused. She assuaged my fears in her own frustrating way, but I did learn her moral fiber can be easily bent or forgotten when it comes to keeping her own safe.

Understandably her people come first, but at what cost is looking to be troubling for the rest of us. Like I said - it wasn't pleasant.

Not relevant on the misuse question, I mean, that probably would be the same. But on the part where our 'lives' wouldn't matter, if it means saving this place.
