[ This time, Bucky looks... a bit more composed than his previous broadcast. Not that he's feeling better, exactly, but he's recovered his determination. His drive. He wants to be done with this place, or maybe stop people from disappearing, and for all of these, he needs information. And to get information efficiently - as Una pointed out, one needs to find a way to talk to the Emperor without pissing her off. ]

[ Which Bucky definitely wasn't feeling up for, when she made her broadcast. But there would be other opportunities, he's sure, and he'd rather make ready. ]

Sorry to bother you, but I was thinking... it's been brought up that the Emperor doesn't react too well to getting asked the same thing over and over again. So maybe if those who've been to audiences share what they've asked - answers entirely voluntary, obviously - that might make it easier for all of us, next time we get a chance.

What do you say? All entirely voluntary, of course.

I don't like her methods, but I don't think she's trying to murder us.

[She can, in fact, fully understand and empathize with them to an extent. The Emperor wants to protect her people at any cost; Bianca's already gone through it once, but if anything tried to attack her own family again...]

I just... fine. [ Loki takes a moment to make a variety of sulky teenager noises before he cuts the connection for a moment. He comes back a minute later, having half-assed an apology to Raven real quick. ]

Anyway, she'll kill every last one of us if she thinks she has a fraction of a chance to beat her foe. Her actions gainsay any possible positive outcome save we make it occur ourselves.

I think it'd take a better chance than that, and only if she doesn't think we could do it ourselves. [She's accepted at this point that she's included in this, even if she probably won't be doing much in the way of fighting, if only for Jaime's sake. He still doesn't know how involved his family was during the Reach's attack.] If she was planning on just sacrificing everyone she brought I think she would've brought different people.

[Loki's a god, and Superman's here, along with countless others who are not normal humans by any meaning of the word. The idea of anything that could kill off that many of them- even if Superman had died once, he still came back- with ease is a bit beyond her.]

If I were preparing a sacrifice to an eldritch entity, these are exactly the people I'd choose. This much power contained with a bow wrapped about it...? We'd be a tasty box of mixed chocolates for any number of greater beings.

[ He's still clearly sulking, but he's serious about this much. ]

What she had to say made it sound like sacrificing people to it wouldn't make it stop.

How would rewarding its actions solve anything?

[Because the sort logic used about why you don't reward temper tantrums can apparently also be applied to eldritch entities.]

Generally, one would have a standing deal. The big baddie moves on to something else afterwards, and you've bought yourself some number of merry centuries before it swings back around to try to snack once more.
