Greetings. I am Commander Spock of the USS Enterprise, a Starfleet contingent of the United Federation of Planets. I understand that we are temporally isolated as well as spatially displaced and that this is not a subdivision of any one possible multiverse, neither a pocket dimension of any one universe, but a unique quantum singularity linking many and each possible variation thereof. If others here have scientific findings of this nature, I pre-emptively extend my gratitude in the event of any information being divulged.
[ AKA pls share ur theories. He's not human, in case anyone with eyes and ears missed the blatant memo staring them in the face, the approximation of what would happen were a dollop of raw science and a great jawline to get mixed with an elf in a blender. Spock pauses thoughtfully, glancing away, and a single slender brow arches when he looks back; there are likely a great deal of customs to be observed from numerous new species and races, none of which he seeks to offend. ]
It has been brought to my attention that this is not my first foray into Keeliai. While I would request that you exert a measure of patience with my ... freshly acquired outlook, you will find me amenable to revisiting former acquaintances. [ Again he hesitates, though this time it comes across as more of an amendment. If you've been hanging out with his BFF, prepare to explain why, how and to what end. ] Similarly, I wish to meet with any and all allies of Captain James T. Kirk at their earliest convenience.
All remaining Starfleet personnel are to submit a fully comprehensive report effective immediately regarding their time here. Audio will suffice, given the circumstances.
[ And off goes the feed. ]

[There's a twist to his expression that says he's not happy about this. He's bothered that his encryptions never seem to be strong enough.]

From there, I will lead both yourself and Doctor McCoy to my suite respectively.

I will meet you there soon, sir. There is a lot to tell.
[He would ask if Spock came with his equipment, but he's not stupid enough to do that where Khan could feasibly hack if he were so inclined. (Or Malicant, though he doubts it would care.)]

[ He's already pointed out to Jim that he didn't arrive with a PADD, but there's no way he'll admit he's missing everything else too on public domain.
Good boy, Chekov, using your head.Even an evasive answer would prove a tell.He cuts the line in order to head there quickly on foot, knowing the way well enough to be waiting whenever Chekov arrives. ]

[The fountain isn't too far away, though he jogs part of the way. It helps him organize his thoughts and burn off excess energy. He wasn't joking when he said there was a lot to tell.]
[Chekov arrives, walking at a normal pace with a messenger bag slung on one shoulder. He's smiling. It's stupidly selfish but having Spock around makes him feel a little better.]
Commander!
action
[ Noting the bulging messenger bag, he begins walking toward the Metal Sector with Chekov in tow. ]
Where are your quarters located? You appear out of breath.
[ Extra points for hurrying, yes. ]
action
Do you live in Metal too, sir?

He restrains himself from talking too much more-- they really should talk about most of this in private. Logic and stuff. (That and the Commander isn't much of a believer in small talk.)]
action
Begin wherever you see fit, Mr. Chekov.
action
Perhaps it is best to start with my point in our timeline. In my time, we were approximately fifteen hours out from Earth's space dock at the beginning of our five-year mission. I arrived here in Tu Vishan approximately one month and one week ago, on September 21st. I have been working on star charts since I arrived, though the low level of technology means it is taking me some time.
[He opens his notebook, showing hand-drawn pieces of sky.]
So far, I have not found any stars, planets, or constellations that I am familiar with.
action
Regarding a lack of familiar constellations, I am unsurprised. Beyond any simple pocket dimension which would afford us something of an echo of the Alpha Quadrant, this is a wholly separate plane of existence.
[ Unlike other crew-members, he actually finds it worthwhile in offering specifics right back at the ensign. Chekov's record is exemplary and his mind is unaccountably brilliant. Not that Spock will put it quite like that. ]
I was pulled here from stardate 2261.147 — [ several months after the five-year mission started ] — when the Enterprise was docked at deep-space starbase K-11 as preparations were made for our first journey into uncharted territory. A Klingon distress call reached us from Khitomer where they were colonizing the planet on the fringe of their border. The captain beamed down with an away team to provide assistance and was captured.
action
[His train of thought comes to a screeching halt]
Captured? [He didn't mean for it to come out that soft, but Kirk's mortality is a lesson he-- and the rest of the crew-- learned the hard way. (Nobody's immortal, Chekov knows, but Kirk had seemed pretty damn close before.)]
action
Khitomer was the site of a massacre. When the away team beamed down, they were captured by newly arrived Klingons from the vessels that attacked the Enterprise. Their ships closely resembled the Narada. [ He remembers the bridge switching to shocked silence as the warbirds reared into view, a bastardized mess of Klingon technology and advanced Romulan. ] They were not idle in the months they held Nero's ship in their custody.
Commander Kor attacked Captain Kirk and took him prisoner, declaring war.
action
(Chekov doesn't want to be a soldier; he wants to be an explorer. He doesn't want to see more debris fields and bodies, doesn't want to hear the sounds of a catastrophic hull breach and blaring klaxons.)
'Admiral Marcus must be grinning like a lunatic in the afterlife.'
He pushes down his mix of feelings as best as he can.]
Is there anything I can do, Commander?
[He knows messing with time is a Very Bad Thing (see: Nero), but if he can do something... it was worth preventing a war or at least giving the Enterprise a fighting chance of getting out of there in one piece.]
action
[ Which he isn't okay with, but logic dictates the Federation will hold off making any overt moves in such a delicate situation. ]
While we are here, of course, the point is moot. [ Jim is down the road, after all. ] In order to complete a comprehensive log, I must inquire whether you have received any orders from the captain while in this city.
action
My standing orders are not to engage Khan and to leave all diplomatic matters regarding the Emperor to the Captain or to you.
action
I am amending the captain's order regarding Khan. In the event of an altercation coming to pass, you will belay any instruction from Captain Kirk that you believe would allow him to face Khan on his own and to evacuate him from proceedings immediately.
[ Jim isn't dying again for any reason linked to that bastard. Not if Spock's here. Neither, he thinks, will the crew allow for it to happen again. ]
In regards to physiology, I am far better suited to dealing with an Augment and cannot be so easily wounded. You will inform me that my presence is required.
[
So he can beat the shit out of him again, if necessary.]action
[There's stubborn and then there's Jim Kirk.
Also so not impressed with the commander's proclamation. He'd rather neither of them risked themselves. But he's prudent enough not to say it.]
Do you have a communicator? I have a few prototypes that will work, if not.
action
[ Jim can get pissed off at Spock as much as he wants, it's better to have an angry captain than a dead one. ]
I do not, as I arrived directly off the bridge, and I would welcome any device of your making.
[ Pseudo-compliment? Maybe. Chekov's skills are almost en par with Mr. Scott's, it's simple fact. ]
action
I don't think I could... I mean, I'm not sure about that. Sir.
[He's pretty sure there are regs about stunning your captain.]
action
[ Or does he have to take issue with where you stand on this, Ensign? ]
We speak of last resorts, Mr. Chekov. I expect you to first use your not inconsiderable wits.
action
Aye, Commander.
[He digs through his bag and produces something that looks sort of like a Razr.]
Here is a communicator-- I have already synced it to the Captain's, Doctor McCoy's, and my own. In case you had come without one.
action
action
It is possible but the equipment available to us would require a lot of modification. I would also have to account for the time disparity and unknown spatial displacement.
The chances of success are slim, but they are there.
