Greetings. I am Commander Spock of the USS Enterprise, a Starfleet contingent of the United Federation of Planets. I understand that we are temporally isolated as well as spatially displaced and that this is not a subdivision of any one possible multiverse, neither a pocket dimension of any one universe, but a unique quantum singularity linking many and each possible variation thereof. If others here have scientific findings of this nature, I pre-emptively extend my gratitude in the event of any information being divulged.

[ AKA pls share ur theories. He's not human, in case anyone with eyes and ears missed the blatant memo staring them in the face, the approximation of what would happen were a dollop of raw science and a great jawline to get mixed with an elf in a blender. Spock pauses thoughtfully, glancing away, and a single slender brow arches when he looks back; there are likely a great deal of customs to be observed from numerous new species and races, none of which he seeks to offend. ]

It has been brought to my attention that this is not my first foray into Keeliai. While I would request that you exert a measure of patience with my ... freshly acquired outlook, you will find me amenable to revisiting former acquaintances. [ Again he hesitates, though this time it comes across as more of an amendment. If you've been hanging out with his BFF, prepare to explain why, how and to what end. ] Similarly, I wish to meet with any and all allies of Captain James T. Kirk at their earliest convenience.

All remaining Starfleet personnel are to submit a fully comprehensive report effective immediately regarding their time here. Audio will suffice, given the circumstances.

[ And off goes the feed. ]

I think it would be best if I gave my report in person, Commander. This network is not entirely secure.

[There's a twist to his expression that says he's not happy about this. He's bothered that his encryptions never seem to be strong enough.]

[Chekov nods. True to form, Spock's recommendation is completely logical.]

I will meet you there soon, sir. There is a lot to tell.

[He would ask if Spock came with his equipment, but he's not stupid enough to do that where Khan could feasibly hack if he were so inclined. (Or Malicant, though he doubts it would care.)]

[Chekov grabs his bag and a few other things; notes, charts, his rudimentary PADD that he made out of scraps, and the tricorder Kirk gave him when he arrived. No doubt Spock would want to see all of his data.]

[The fountain isn't too far away, though he jogs part of the way. It helps him organize his thoughts and burn off excess energy. He wasn't joking when he said there was a lot to tell.]

[Chekov arrives, walking at a normal pace with a messenger bag slung on one shoulder. He's smiling. It's stupidly selfish but having Spock around makes him feel a little better.]

ME-1D. [A slightly sheepish smile] I jogged part of the way here to help organize my thoughts. It is a little like meditation for me.

Do you live in Metal too, sir?

Yes, Commander. [He may or may not have already given out his location. Regardless, he refuses to live in fear.

He restrains himself from talking too much more-- they really should talk about most of this in private. Logic and stuff. (That and the Commander isn't much of a believer in small talk.)]

[Chekov places his bag on the table and immediately starts pulling out supplies. A notebook, a few pencils, what could pass for a PADD if you squint hard enough, an old-style phone that he's converted to a communicator, and a tricorder. He places the tricorder within Spock's reach, as if inviting him to use it if he didn't arrive with one.]

Perhaps it is best to start with my point in our timeline. In my time, we were approximately fifteen hours out from Earth's space dock at the beginning of our five-year mission. I arrived here in Tu Vishan approximately one month and one week ago, on September 21st. I have been working on star charts since I arrived, though the low level of technology means it is taking me some time.

[He opens his notebook, showing hand-drawn pieces of sky.]

So far, I have not found any stars, planets, or constellations that I am familiar with.

There seem to be multiple planes of existence parallel to this one as well. The locals call them Death and Dreaming, and they were briefly accessible while we were 'docked' at the underwater city of Sinbrilee. I had not experienced it firsthand, so my information is incomplete.

[His train of thought comes to a screeching halt]

Captured? [He didn't mean for it to come out that soft, but Kirk's mortality is a lesson he-- and the rest of the crew-- learned the hard way. (Nobody's immortal, Chekov knows, but Kirk had seemed pretty damn close before.)]

[Chekov goes quiet, clearly upset at the news. The Narada took out a small fleet of Federation starships. An entire Klingon army of those things mixed with the Klingon's own technology could cause unimaginable damage. They're not exactly known for being gentle with their hostages either.

(Chekov doesn't want to be a soldier; he wants to be an explorer. He doesn't want to see more debris fields and bodies, doesn't want to hear the sounds of a catastrophic hull breach and blaring klaxons.)

'Admiral Marcus must be grinning like a lunatic in the afterlife.'

He pushes down his mix of feelings as best as he can.]

Is there anything I can do, Commander?

[He knows messing with time is a Very Bad Thing (see: Nero), but if he can do something... it was worth preventing a war or at least giving the Enterprise a fighting chance of getting out of there in one piece.]

[Chekov nods, though his expression clearly says he's not happy with this either. Abandoning the captain... it wouldn't feel right.]

My standing orders are not to engage Khan and to leave all diplomatic matters regarding the Emperor to the Captain or to you.

I will try, Commander, but the likelihood that he will listen to me...

[There's stubborn and then there's Jim Kirk.

Also so not impressed with the commander's proclamation. He'd rather neither of them risked themselves. But he's prudent enough not to say it.]

Do you have a communicator? I have a few prototypes that will work, if not.

[Chekov's eyes widen slightly.]

I don't think I could... I mean, I'm not sure about that. Sir.

[He's pretty sure there are regs about stunning your captain.]

[Chekov looks down, trying not to look like a chastised child.]

Aye, Commander.

[He digs through his bag and produces something that looks sort of like a Razr.]

Here is a communicator-- I have already synced it to the Captain's, Doctor McCoy's, and my own. In case you had come without one.

[Chekov looks thoughtful and goes silent for a moment.]

It is possible but the equipment available to us would require a lot of modification. I would also have to account for the time disparity and unknown spatial displacement.

The chances of success are slim, but they are there.
