[This is Asami. This is Asami wrapped up like an enchilada in a thick, dark red blanket while she faces the screen. It's her first time with a recording like this—the technology is beyond even the movers Varrick produced—so she proceeds self-consciously.

That isn't to say she wasn't eager to try it out. The tape on the side of her console is indication of that, but it's out of sight of the viewer.]

Well, here I am. I've had some time to think about what I wanted to say, but to be honest I don't even know where to begin.

But we're all comrades here, right? So my name's Asami, and I'm a... [businesswoman? What kind of sales approach is that? She straightens her back.] I'm the chief executive officer of my family's company at home in Republic City. We're known for our automobiles and weaponry, and I have experience with each of our products. Not that I see myself getting comfortable here, but if I can make myself useful in a company running somewhere along those lines, then I think that would be a good place to start.

[She visibly deflates after the spiel, mustering a small smile.] So I guess I'll see you guys around! Go ahead and introduce yourselves if you have time. I think I could use some faces to call familiar.

[Korra gives a happy nod to her question about Mako as she hits send. A little too happy.]

Once he sees the network, he'll be right over. [Or she'll go over there and drag him herself. Just pieces from their home were precious enough, but friends from home? She wouldn't let him sit out on that.]

I'll be right over, I know Metal like the back of my hand.

[Giving a quick wave, Korra turns off the feed. There's no reason to ride Naga since it's not that far at all, but Korra sets up the extra tribble fur blankets on the saddle, a few other things, and is knocking on Asami's door in less than eight minutes.]

[Asami barely has her hand out from beneath the blanket to wave back before the feed is over, and she sits still for a minute after the quick rush of excitement. The full seven or eight minutes, actually, because she's apprehensive about the Korra she's going to find on the other side of the door. This Korra seems too comfortable here, like she knows too much. While she was initially thrown off when Korra said she had been here for months, it makes a weird sort of sense in the context of this place. It's something she'll have to accept.

In any case, she can handle an onslaught of information. Coming from Korra's mouth, though, she isn't so sure. Nevertheless, when Korra comes knocking she climbs out of her seat and opens the door, greeting her with the blanket still wrapped around her body and her legs bare down from her mid-thighs.]

Hey Korra, come in. Are Mako and Bolin coming? [There's three of them, so why not four?]

[Korra grins and pauses as she walks in.]

Just Mako. Bolin's not here. [A hint of sadness on her exuberance, but Korra leads Naga in.

Good thing Korra thought Asami wasn't joking about the pants. She undoes the bundle of blankets and sets the folded pile on the ground with a 'fwump'.]

Softest, warmest furs on the turtle, guaranteed. [As she's saying that, Korra pulls out a pair of paints (very similar to her own) and holds them out to Asami.]

They're the best thing to fight off the cold. Trust me, I should know. [Yes, she's smirking as she says that.]

[Oh. No Bolin... Well that's a good thing, isn't it? Even if, while he'll always be first and foremost Mako's partner-in-crime, she's come to think of him as a close companion as well.]

Oh, thanks. [Asami sets her blanket aside, crouches down and quickly sifts through the pile to find a color that will match her red patterned robe. Well, it's not as if she has a rainbow to choose from, so she pulls on a pair of greys. Korra might get a flash of her swimsuit.]

You weren't kidding! These are nice. Talk about bad timing, I must've dozed off at my pool. I still have the cucumbers to prove I was there.

No problem. [As her friend picked out what she wanted, Korra took out the tea set she received for Christmas. What better way to warm up than tea?

Korra's seen Asami in her swimsuit before, so it doesn't surprise her that much. Still, she has Jim Kirk to thank for wanting to look away at the glimpse.]

The winter here doesn't have a thing on the South Pole. [Setting the teapot on the table, all it takes a moment to heat it up with some minute firebending and she's pouring it into two of the cups.]

Naga's got a bag on the side of her saddle, that's for you. [She's not about to let her friend have next to no clothes. That bag is jingling with close to one hundred juulan.]

Thanks, Korra. You really didn't have to. [She takes down the bag from Naga's saddle, gives the polar bear-dog a scratch behind an ear and takes the bag with her to the table. She resolves to pay her back with interest once she sticks a job here.]

The tea smells good. What's your lifestyle like around here? [She doesn't want to acknowledge that Korra has been here for so long, but she has to sooner or later.]

[Korra just waved at the remark of her not having to. She had more money than she knew what to do with. Literally. Korra cannot handle money, so she just saves it; and saves it.]

Kind of ridiculous actually. [She hands the small saucer and cup over to Asami. That's the first time anyone's asked her that question and the answer was made lightly so she could actually consider it.]

I've got more jobs than I know what to do with and there's usually something happening. Sometimes it's not a disaster. [She gives a very weak smile before shrugging, sipping her oolong tea.]

[so you know how you two were waiting for a certain firebender? He's so knocking on the door now.

And you're not going to believe who he has with him. It's crazy, the people you'll run into when you're just walking to an entirely different sector.]

Sounds like I might have a chance, then.

[She's finishing her first sip of tea when the door knocks, and she quickly sets down the saucer.]

That must be Mako. I'll go answer.

[She pads across the room and opens the door to see Mako and... AND........!?!?!?]

[ idk some loser?? ]

[ But no, Bolin is standing there with Mako, big smile on his face, but acting all nonchalant and everything. ]

Sooo, fancy running into you guys here.

[Someone has to choke on their tea, and Korra's doing that like a pro. She wasn't prepared to see Asami today, less so to see-]

Bolin! [After some sputtering she got it out. Two months with no friends from home then she got Mako, and she's not complaining in the slightest about that, but then six more months with nothing and now Team Avatar is all at Asami's suite.]

This is incredible! [Can she scoop the three of them together for a group hug? Of course she can. Tu Vishan finally granted her wish.]

I ran into him on my way over here and-- [he's interrupted by the sudden hug, but, you know, he could have figured that Korra was gonna do that, somehow. Somehow. But, initial shock aside,]

I figured it'd be easier to just come here instead of trying to find one of those consoles.

[that are literally everywhere.

on the turtle.

but he has a huge aversion to them, so keep calm and carry on.]

[It hasn't been so long since Asami has seen the group, but somehow she feels jovial in seeing everyone, that the group hug is warranted. She squeezes her shoulders in and grins while they're together, and once her feet are flat on the ground she straightens herself up.]

Please, come on in! It's so good to see you guys. I honestly thought I was here all by myself. Did you just get here, Bolin?

Yep, just arrived!

[ He comes on in, and once they are all in, it's Bolin's turn to pull them all into a hug, because really nothing could make this any better than knowing that they were all here together. ]

[Korra is very amenable to more hugs. These are the people she thought she'd never see again! Bolin is now her spirit animal. Aside from Naga.]

This is great! Mako and I can tell you guys all that's been going on. [She's just trying to even think where to start. Malicant. Eshai's death. The turtle babies hatching.

But forget it, she can get them pamphlets from the Welcome Center that has all that stuff.]

Any questions, we can answer. [There, something sensible manages to come out of her excited thinking.]

[he nods-- but they probably should cover the basics. Like. Amon and Tarrlok being there. That seemed like something important, actually. And so, he gets to be the one that's overly serious again]

Wait-- I don't know how far back you guys went in the network, if you did at all, but Amon and Tarrlok are here. [a glance at Korra-- after her fight with Amon... She might be better equipped to tell them about that.]

Besides that, the emperor was just murdered, they think it was by one of the people pulled here, like us. [and getting his name cleared as a potential suspect was-- that was something.]

So, it's great everyone's here, but it's not exactly 'safe' either.

[It's hard to keep reminding herself that time doesn't have to fit chronologically with their home, so she casts a dubious glance at Mako in regards to Amon and Tarrlok. Then she quietly sighs, registering it more as a can of worms they'll have to deal with all over again. That's something she could do without, in addition to... basically everything else.]

Here guys, let's take a seat. [She suggests it in passing, heading over to the table, before adding:] So wait, how long exactly have you guys been here? And what's the last thing you remember?

[ And then the atmosphere suddenly became serious. Bolin should have expected that. He follows Asami to the table, looking between all of them and then suddenly interested in the answer to Asami's question. For all he knows, he could be the furthest ahead, but he's going to wait to find out. ]

Please tell me I don't have to recount what happened between what you all remember and what I remember. [ because if i do then things become awkward and yeah ]

[Relieved that Mako remembered to mention Amon and Tarrlok, something she's used to not telling since it was only her problem before, she gives him a thankful smile and takes his hand so they can sit where she was earlier.

Curious to just what it is Bolin and Asami remembered, Korra looks to each of them before starting.]

I've been here for eight months, Mako's been here for six. [Squeezing his hand at that, she was just as excited when he showed. In a different way of course.]

We both came from the same time actually. I restored Lin's bending after we all stopped the Equalists. [Those were the major points, her and Mako dating felt like a given.]

But, I went to the palace and the Emperor let me see my future. I don't know if you guys know what happened with Unalaq, but I saw what happened- and how we stopped him.

[Mako was not up to date on all of that though-- the answer was probably obvious by how he was still holding Korra's hand. She'd been vague with him, and he hadn't had a chance to go see what had changed yet himself.

But he knows he can't just nod.]

I'll go see for myself what happened when this whole... Emperor thing gets straightened out.

[Her eyes flicker between her friends' faces and Mako and Korra's hands until she resolves to stare at her cup. It doesn't need to be more spelled out to her that they're together, still. Again. Whichever. Not the most important factor of the day, but it still puts a weight on her chest, and thank goodness Korra and Bolin initiated group hugs before she could embarrass herself in front of them.

She continues to look at her tea, and her voice is rasped with a pouty sore throat at first when she speaks.] The Unalaq fiasco is about the last major event I can remember, besides a few small details. [She quickly looks at Korra before casting her glance at Bolin.] What about you?

[ He probably looks a bit longer than necessary at Mako and Korra's hands. He doesn't mean to, really, but all he can think to himself is "oh come on now" but that's not important now. Really. Okay maybe it's a little important but it's not the most important thing. Just remember to keep your mouth shut Bolin and nothing will be awkward... ]

Yeah, pretty much everything with Unalaq and what happened immediately after it.

[ sending a Look towards Mako. brothertelepathy please be a thing ]

[As far Korra could make out, all of them were on the same page except for Mako. Which would be fixed at the Emperor's next audience. Giving a nod to each and a look over at Mako, Korra leans back into her seat.]

Amon's been staying out of trouble for the most part. [She looks down at her lap on the last words before continuing on.]

He's been teaching chi blocking to some of the kedan and a few of the foreigners. I tried to stop it, but that didn't go over too well. [Asphyxiation isn't something she wants to experience ever again.]

Tarrlok's trying to- [be normal? live his life?] not be what he was. [Even Korra isn't able to come up with something better than that.]

Lin's working the foreigners volunteering to help the palace. [She grins.] Obviously you can trust her. I don't think she knows anything about Unalaq though.

[A pause as she considers just how to phrase the others from their world.]

Toph and Aang are here, from when they were fighting Fire Lord Ozai. [She just can't sugar coat that one.]

[Oh, bro telepathy was totally a thing. It was such a thing that Mako got the feeling that the break-up that Korra had sprung on him suddenly was actually a very... very big deal. All signs pointed to that, and he was even more interested in finding out what happened.

But his outward reaction was muted, more to a glance at Bolin, and a slight tilt of his head, enough to not interrupt the flow of conversation as Korra explained what everyone was up to there in Keeliai.]

[Asami keeps her thoughts to herself while Korra talks: Classic Amon, and, Good for Tarrlok..? and, Thank goodness we have Lin.

It's tougher to contain herself at the mention of Aang and Toph, though. Feelings bordering on irritation melting for the moment, her eyebrows perk and she leans forward in her seat, though her voice is kept under control when she speaks.]

The Toph and Aang? That's amazing. I totally would've invited them over if I'd known they were here!
