✦ 012 ✦ [VIDEO] ✦ Network Cafe ✦ (Encrypted from Jack)
[For once, Zatanna isn't broadcasting from her room. She doesn't even bother trying to hide the Guilt on her face as she appears on screen, the clear signs of a random cafe in the background. It would have been a stretch to say she hadn't really slept much since returning from the bottle, but she's certainly not taking any joy from the memories playing over and over in her mind.]
[Memories she needed to get away from, if only for a little while. And there was really only one way to do that:]
Does anybody have a place I can stay for a few days?
[By not being in her suite.]
PRIVATE - Korra
Hey.
Thanks for the chocolates. I really appreciate it.

Hey.
Thanks for the chocolates. I really appreciate it.

Relatively speaking?
I'm not hurt. A few bruises here and there, but no worse than usual.

And if we're talking not so relatively speaking?
[Her voice is soft with the question, but Bianca's happy to hear that she's not physically injured, at least.]

It's kind of a long story.
Re: video; default encryption
I can make the time for a long story.
[She's busy, yes. But never too busy that she'll not make time others.]

[Talking with Bianca was...different than, say, Kaldur or Korra or even Kyle. She was baseline human in every way. And a caring
if slightly scary at timesmother whom Zatanna wasn't all that close to. On the other hand, she was an older female figure, and maybe she could offer an outside perspective of this whole mess?]How much do you know about what happened when people went inside the bottle?
[Start small.]

I heard about some of it. Like how some people were attacking others. And the dragon.
[Yep. Just a nurse and a mom. Really.]
video; default encryption
Yeah, I never really made it to the dragon. But the first part was true. There were these...statues. When you touched one of them, they did stuff to your mind. Changed you.
Only I'm not entirely sure that everything I did was just the statue.

You did some things while you were like that.
[...This would probably be easier to handle in person.]
Zatanna, do you want to come over? I can head over to the cafe you're at if you like instead.
video; default encryption
Yeah. That...might be better.
Where are you?

Alright.
I can be there in about ten minutes, give or take. And...thanks.

[When the feed ends, Bianca heads into the kitchen, and sets water up to boil in a few minutes; Zatanna- the one here- was on the young side for coffee, but tea or cocoa? Would probably be a good idea.
She's already waiting for Zatanna's knock, going over and opens the door when it comes.]
I figured talking it out in person would help better.
action
Not really.
But it does help to know there's much less of a chance of certain people overhearing. It's...not really one of my finer moments.
no subject
Everyone has moments like those. What matters is afterwards.
And maybe not, but I can't offer you anything through the console. Cocoa or tea?
no subject
[Meaning, no, she hadn't confronted him yet.]
Cocoa would be great, actually. The chocolatier, the better. This is definitely a chocolate conversation.
no subject
[She motions for Zatanna to follow her into the ktichen, where she sets up to make the hot chocolate. It's no Abuelita's, but it'll have to do.]
So you haven't hit that point yet. That's okay.
no subject
It's okay...that I haven't talked to him yet?
[Because that is the exact opposite of the advice she'd been expecting.]
no subject
You can't put it off forever, but I have a feeling you already know that.
[After all, she did say she was worried about 'afterwards'.]
Sometimes you just need a bit of time first.

[And here we go, one hot chocolate, custom made, by one mom. And no Jaime around to mourn its going to a good cause.]
But I'm guessing what happened was pretty serious.

[It's a gentle nudge; some things have to be said out loud.]

I used my magic on him. Twice. The first time, I just pinned him to a wall, and only because he froze my blood first...but the second time, I froze him there and left him.
[To die, if that were possible. Ironically, it was Jack's undead nature that had most likely spared him.]
But beyond that, I...we kissed. I mean kissed-kissed. We would've probably gone even further if he hadn't snapped out of it right then. Tried to talk me down out of whatever was wrong with me...which I spat back in his face with a bunch of insults and apathetic comments about what he didn't mean to me.
no subject
When he actually does, but I'm guessing not like that.
[There are a few options here as to what's going on, and she's pretty sure that she's right, but she can't make any assumptions. So she waits to let Zatanna correct her, if she needs to.]
no subject
He's...my best friend.
[Neither a confirmation nor a denial.]
