[For once, Zatanna isn't broadcasting from her room. She doesn't even bother trying to hide the Guilt on her face as she appears on screen, the clear signs of a random cafe in the background. It would have been a stretch to say she hadn't really slept much since returning from the bottle, but she's certainly not taking any joy from the memories playing over and over in her mind.]

[Memories she needed to get away from, if only for a little while. And there was really only one way to do that:]

Does anybody have a place I can stay for a few days?

[By not being in her suite.]

PRIVATE - Korra

Hey.

Thanks for the chocolates. I really appreciate it.

[She barely nods.]

I wasn't myself. Don't be too hard on yourself or Jack.

[Her arms fold on the table in front of her, eyes glancing downward as she shakes her head.]

I don't blame him at all.

[Which sounds almost like a hypocritical statement, unless you take into account how genuinely worried she is about his reaction. Logic need not apply.]

I blame myself. For touching the stupid thing in the first place. I should've known. I should've been able to sense something was up with it.

And then, when he showed up and started going on about being King and wanting a Queen and challenging me the way he did...I should've walked away.

[The memories of whatever life Korra experienced still feel very real and she's betting it probably does for them as well.]

Challenge? Did you, get into a fight?

At first, yeah.

He used his powers on me. Then I used my on him. [A visible wince at the memory.] The first time, I just pinned him to the wall in retaliation. But after we called a truce, when he'd regained himself and realized what we had been about to do...he backed down, and I got so angry I--

[A pause. This was the part that hurt her the most.]

I froze him in place. Literally. If he had been any other person, I could have killed him.

[It's not either of their faults, and that's exactly why she's not sure how to feel about that.]

But you didn't, and there's nothing you could have done. Whoever, or whatever, kind of person takes over after touching the statue-

well, it's not you. [Now the need for a break away from her suite makes sense.]

You have no idea how hard I've been trying to tell myself that.

Just keep at it, maybe it'll just click. [Even she knows how bad that sounds and Korra gives a small, apologetic shrug.]

I'll talk to Aang and see where he's at with himself, okay? [She's really wishing she had another room in her suite.]

[And in return, Zatanna offered a weak, but genuine smile. Once more grateful for the older girl's friendship.]

[Encouraging that small smile, Korra gave her a big one in return.]

Anytime, Zee. If you need something, just talking or taking a trip on the turtle, just let me know. I'm here.

[It almost made her feel bad for leaving out the one last part. The part she knew Korra wouldn't take well. But it wasn't so much trying to keep it a secret as she was having a hard enough time dealing with the rest.]

[After all, comparatively speaking...what was one (or several) kiss(es).]

Once my head clears...maybe I can tell you about everything that happened. I want to. I just can't. Not right now.

I've been there. [She tilts her head toward her shoulder guiltily.]
