001 ≅ [TEXT] / [ACTION]
[TEXT]
[Donatello decides to stick with text, because he doesn't entirely trust himself not to give away his barely restrained panic right now if he tries anything else.]
So forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is there anywhere I can find a map or something?
...Or even a help center for the unfortunately half-drowned? Travel agency? A Guide to the City, perhaps? The welcoming committee was helpful, but not that helpful.
Thank you.
[He's pretty sure if there is a place to collect information - and they sure made it sound like this happened often, so he'd surprised if there wasn't - he could slip in and steal their pamphlets or...whatever it was they had, without too much trouble. Still. If there's an easier method, he'd prefer it. He didn't want to go venturing out into the open half-cocked and alone.]
[Speaking of...he'd given up audio, so he'd also given up the chance of one of his brothers recognizing his voice. He'd have to think of something-]
[Ah.]
And if there's a place that sells pizza, I could really go for that right now.
[Not perfect, but it would have to do.]

[ACTION]
[No matter what happens during the day, once it hits the darkest hours of the next morning Donatello is going to brave heading up to the roof of his building {ME-2A} in the Metal Sector and start poking around the area. He'll be sticking very close to home and keeping it quiet, but if your character might have the skills and inclination to notice an extremely nervous ninja turtle, then by all means!]
[He'll be distracted by the different constellations in the sky and occasionally be stooping to investigate the material the buildings are made of. He'll keep reaching up to check that his staff is still there. Don't get too close or he will probably try to smack you with it.]

[Donnie knows about their fight, but what the HELL is he talking about? First dimension hopping, now freaking TIME TRAVEL?
Raph is so done with this bullshit.]

I'm thinking, maybe, we had a run in with one of the Kraang's dimensional portals. Most likely, the portals are geared for the Kraang's physiology alone, or whoever they bring along with them. Maybe they have equipment or- or a special key they can use to make it safe for another species to travel [or they don't care] I don't know. That's not really important.
Now, it's possible one of the side-effects of inter-dimensional travel is some disorientation. Things like nausea or trouble sleeping or amnesia. Maybe one of the reasons we - I'm assuming - arrived at separate times is because we were a little off in our trajectory. Maybe we went through the portal a few seconds apart, and that was enough for a week's difference.
From that perspective, it's lucky we wound up in the same place at all, really. I won't be able to tell unless I remember what brought us here in the first place.

Maybe. I've only been here a few hours, so that's only one hypothesis. It would explain why you're so far behind, at least.

[he's so snippy right now, sorry raph.]
no subject
More than that though...]
...what about Mikey?
no subject
[or it's...Raph welcoming Don to the club, one or the other]
What about Mike-?
[Oh.]
You, uh, never made it back to the Lair, did you.
no subject
Or, according to you, I don't remember it. So no, I didn't make it back.
no subject
[Don rubbed the back of his head.]
Mikey's fine. He spent a little while healing, but he's right back to, well...being Mikey. No lasting problems or anything. Leo brought him around with pizza.
no subject
[So Leo made it back too. And apparently so did he? Good.
Yeah. That's good. ...not good about Leo's stupid Foot Clan pal -knew that wasn't gonna end well- but Mikey's okay.]
He's not uh, not any dumber than usual, is he? [Raph was really freaked out about that, he heard the crack Mikey's head made when he hit that wall.]
no subject
[He's Mikey.]
[But that Don's willing to still poke fun at him should tell Raph that, no, there were no problems.]
no subject
Whatever. Not like it matters even if he is.
Where are you at?
no subject
If you want more than that, you're going to have to wait until I do a better job encrypting this. Unlike some people I could mention I still remember what caution means.
no subject
[Seriously bro. Nobody cares. Raph gave up after a day, when his fucking computer kept glitching and turning on the camera. NOBODY. GIVES. A FUCK.]
I'm heading out there; get on the rooftops.
no subject
[He doesn't believe you, but he'll get up there. As he's standing he fires this one last thing off, though:]
If one of the Kraang show up and know exactly where to find us though, I'm saying I told you so.
video ---> action
[He doesn't fucking care. He wants to see a familiar face, even if he'd never admit it.
Raph darts along the rooftops of the Metal Sector; it takes him quite a while to get there, so by the time he arrives the sun's long since set. He creeps along in the shadows at least, keeping to the dark spots and darting through moonlit sections with a sense of urgency, at least.
...this is a big sector. His best bet is to keep moving, try to hit every area and wait for Don to notice him.]
action
[Either way, he knows how Raph moves and thinks, so it isn't too hard to track him down once he narrows the search a little bit.]
[He pauses on the roof of one of the taller buildings, and, making sure the light illuminates him just enough, raises a hand.]
no subject
You get in some water yet? [He's not concerned about you, little brother. He's just tired of hearing you pitch a fit.]
no subject
[It would have been better if he'd had canals to swim in, but he'd done with a splash bath of sorts and that had mostly worked. Don's arms are crossed, and he's obviously frazzled, but he does actually feel calmer now that one of his brothers is nearby.]
[He's just also kind of freaking out right now.]
What about the others? You didn't mention them.
no subject
Didn't mention 'em because they're not here. I can't find them.
no subject
[he didn't actually reply to Raph's initial statement, but he made an effort to calm down. It wasn't Raph's fault they were stuck in some freaky alternate dimension]
[Probably]
Okay, maybe they just haven't arrived yet. Nothing to worry about, I guess. We have at least a week between arrival points, so that's what we'll have to bank on.
...What have you been doing for the past week?
no subject
I've been figuring out what's going on. That's why I told you that I know what I'm doing.
no subject
Uh-huh. Right. What did you find out?
no subject
We're on the back of a turtle.
