[Those who have seen it before might recognise that Percy is sitting in Annabeth's suite and using her console rather than his own] Okay, so, first things first. Sea prunes? Don't go there. And I'm saying that as the guy whose dad probably invented them.
[His fingers reach for a nearby pen and absently tap it against the desk before he scrawls something meaningless on a piece of paper nearby. People who have spoken to Percy before might not that he's more twitchy than usual, almost agitated.] Second, um. Are there any jobs going in places that are a little more Foreigner friendly? Apparent customers won't buy things from places if the person serving them calls them a jerk, even if they're being one. The managers don't seem to like it, either. Something without boring, repetitive tasks would be great, too. As it turns out, that's kind of hard to deal with when you're ADHD. [A beat. He fold the paper in half absently slides it into a nearby book.] And if any writing could be in Ancient Greek, that would be awesome. Dyslexics of the world untie, that sort of thing.
[He picks the book up and places it somewhere off-screen, seemingly unaware of what he's doing. A grin tugs at the corner of his mouth, and he laughs, a little sheepishly] Okay, so I don't do a great job at selling myself. But I promise, I'm hardworking. I'm resourceful, I don't mind manual labour, I can talk to sea creatures and horses, and I make a mean garden hose. And I really, really need something to do here, or else I'm going to lose my mind. And believe me when I say no one wants a crazy demigod on their hands. [He gives a small wave, and is about to disappear when he thinks of something]
Oh yeah! Apparently there are some people who don't know how to swim? I can totally teach you, if you want. Or...I dunno, take people on water rides around the turtle. Floating around in the ocean in a bubble is pretty neat, I'm just saying.

[Then she frowns in thought.] No. It'll come back to me, if it was important enough.
Any good job offers? [And back to a lightness in her tone. It's a legit question, she hasn't had much time to stalk it all yet ok.]
action
Most of my stuff is here, anyway. [He waves his hand around the room, resisting the temptation to try out the 'H' word again]
Uh - yeah, one so far. It's pretty simple, but it doesn't involve customer service, which is probably a good thing right now.
action
Hopefully it sticks. [Her tone might be a little teasing.]
action
At least there aren't any monsters to attack me and ruin anything, here? At least, not me specifically.
action
[A tiny snort of a laugh.] You probably just jinxed yourself.
action
[Pulling a face] It would definitely be my luck for the Minotaur to show up here as well.
action
Third time's the charm? Maybe he'll leave you alone forever after that.
action
I'm choosing to think positively and hope that it's got the hint by now.
action
You know what they say about Greeks and threes. [It's half sing-song.]
action
Hey, you're Greek too. If you're not careful, there are going to be like, cows everywhere or something. [Yup, cows]
action
[Annabeth groans, dragging her free hand down her face.] Hera can't control them here, I refuse to accept she could, but don't even remind me.
action
[Okay nope, not close enough. He tugs Annabeth into his lap] I don't know, it is Hera. But I'll stop talking about it, just in case.
action
[She shakes her head, but there's quiet amusement.] I'll talk to Leo about putting cow traps on the suite. For precaution. [Annabeth actually resists the tug for a moment, thinking back on the last time he did this, before giving in and sort of settling herself carefully, placing her feet on the floor on either side of him for extra balance.] If we end up on the floor again, I'm banning you from this chair.
Re: action
[He laughs] You mean like those steal grate things on the floor? [He mock-frowns at her, then, settling his hands at her waist] Hey! In my defense, I was disoriented. And you were distracting. [And ending up on the floor hadn't exactly turned out to be a bad thing]
action
[She slides her arms straight out over his shoulders, resting them there, and lightly linking her hands in the air behind his head.] None of that's my fault.
[Except for the part where she's mastered the art of distracting Percy Jackson with utter perfection and fully abuses this talent whenever she can.]
action
[Percy is on the verge of replying to his girlfriend - because it's definitely like, at least fifty percent her fault. But she moves around, and somehow her hands just resting there doing nothing are more distracting than if she'd actually been doing - well, something. He blinks] What?
action
[But then she slumps a little in laughter, because wow she was not even really trying yet. Give her a moment to stop and recollect herself. When she does, she just smiles at him, leaning in to steal a brief kiss, then pulls back to look him in the eyes.] Just continue to validate my thoughts.
action
Oh no don't laugh at him though his man-ego.] That's cheating. [He leans in and kisses her back, a little longer than the brief one she'd stolen from him] I know a lot about you, Annabeth Chase, but I can't read your mind.
action
[His man-ego means nothing to her. Annabeth doesn't even reply with words at first, just kisses him again. Kind of slow and teasing, and she moves one of her hands just in front of his mouth to prevent him from doing it again after she pulls back.] We never laid any ground rules. And you don't have to. Just know that you do anyway.
action
A quite sound escapes the back of his throat, and his hands shift a little on her hips. He moves to continue that train of though but then her hand is there and he frowns a little in consternation. There is a brief impulse to lick her hand like a 12 year old, but he's pretty sure that won't lead anywhere he's interested in going] This is also cheating. [He mumbles that from behind her hand instead. There's a certain look in his eyes when he meets her gaze that should leave no doubts as to how he feels about her] Are they at least good thoughts?
action
[Annabeth smirks when he frowns, but she doesn't move her hand away. She is winning, Percy Jackson, not cheating.] No it's not. What did I just say about rules?
[That Certain Look doesn't go unnoticed, and she can feel her cheeks go a little red, even if she's staring at him the same way. A small smile, still kind of teasing, and she rolls a shoulder in half a shrug.] Most of the time.
action
Percy doesn't move to take her hand away just yet] No rules, huh? [He can get behind that idea.
One hand leaves her hip, reaching up. His fingers brush lightly over her cheek where the red is staining it, and she can probably feel him smirking a little behind her hand] You look beautiful right now. [It might seem like it comes out of nowhere, but that's sort of the point. he's trying to throw her off balance.
He also means it absolutely, but that doesn't mean it can't be weaponised.]
action
[Annabeth shoves her hand entirely against his mouth, covering it completely and half glaring him down through a giddiness brought on by his stupid words.] And you're an idiot.
[And her response to slide her other hand to rest at the back of his neck, lean in to kiss his cheek. Then trail down to the corner of his jaw, before pulling back to stare at him defiantly.]
action
He chokes on a laugh when she shoves her hand against his mouth, giving her a thumbs up in response to her calling him an idiot, considering that talking is a little hard right now. The laughter fades as her lips move over his skin, and he swallows a little, just looking at her when she pulls back.
Slowly, his hand comes up to wrap around her wrist, tugging it gently away from his mouth] You might've missed a spot.
action
And which spot might that be?
