I don't think it's been decided that English is the universal language here, but either way I'm much too old to be taking lessons like a schoolboy.

As far as teaching goes, though...I'll think about it.

No, there's the kedan language and I don't even want to attempt that until I get this down. I know there's that other language some speak here and I think Bean knows that too.

[Korra pushes her mouth to one side.] Every master I've ever had has always said you're never to old to learn anything. I think teaching our language would be a good idea. Aside from the other benders here, I know of one foreigner who knows it.

If I bother learning it at all, I would prefer to study in private. Either way, I have higher priorities than learning every language people here speak.

I'll consider offering to teach it, but I don't want to act like I'm getting all settled in here. Our goal is to go home, remember, we don't need to be integrating ourselves into this society.

Not liking it isn't going to make anything easier. I think you could really help out with this hydroponic garden that this Bruce guy is doing. Clean, fresh produce for volunteering. They would really bring out the flavor of sea prunes.

But yeah, it is nice not having to worry about that. If you’re really that concerned about your actions just keep in mind there are a lot of foreigners here with powers way beyond our bending.

Powers beyond normal bending, maybe. [He gets the feeling that there are people stronger than him here, but for the most part he'd rather believe that he's dangerous than weak.]

It's not just here, it's back home, too. From what you and my brother have told me, everything I had is gone and I doubt I'll ever get any of it back, there or here.

I'm not sure what the right things are anymore, I'm just hoping to get sent home sooner rather than later.
