Good morning Keeliai, how are we all today?

[Steph is sitting at her console, leaning back in her chair with her legs propped up on the desk. She's smiling, and for those that know her, it's the sort of smile that should be extremely concerning. Those that don't know her may also be feeling like they're about to hear something they don't want to.

She is going to be a terrible person today.]

I'm going to preface this message by saying that anyone under the age of 16, or whatever the age of legality is where you're from, should tune out now, please and thank you. I'm not gonna be explicit or anything, but it's probably not going to be appropriate for kids. [she gives a pointed look, yes you, Damian, switch off the computer now.]

I was taking an anthropology class back home, and my professor happens to be here too. [she wrinkles her nose, like yes, I know that's super weird, how do you think I feel?] And he's been giving me assignments and stuff, because apparently being kidnapped by a giant turtle isn't a valid excuse not to keep up with coursework. The topic we'd been studying before I got brought here was human sexuality, and Professor Craig suggested I write a paper on kedan sexuality instead. [Hi Bruce.] Except, uh, after the last couple weeks, I'm not really keen on that idea.

But I have been thinking about all these people with superpowers running around, and like - we've got comics back home, right? But they tend to focus on the whole defeating supervillains and stopping alien invasions side of things, which is great, sure, I love a good action story, but there's something that just never really comes up.

[she looks directly at the camera, the very picture of scientific curiosity] Do they - or, do you, for the superpowered people in the audience - ever use their powers for sex? This isn't a rhetorical question, by the way, if you have used your powers in the bedroom, feel free to share with the class.

And in the interest of not excluding anyone from the conversation, anyone who's just a regular old human, or whathaveyou, you can discuss what sort of powers you'd like to have, and how you'd use them to impress the gender-of-your-preference.

Don't feel like you have to respond directly to me, you're more than welcome to talk amongst yourselves. I figured we could use a little lighthearted chat to take our minds off the situation. Don't you agree?

[She winks, clearly trying not to laugh, and sits back in her chair to wait for responses]

[THAT IS A TOUGH QUESTION OKAY and for a moment he definitely looks like he'd rather just hang up than have to deal with Tommy's stupid ~~sexy~~ face.]

[He eyes Brandon and raises a face.]

You like her, don't you? [he smirks.] All the more reason to flirt with her.

I know that you're an asshole who crashed right into me and could have killed me and then wouldn't even admit you did anything wrong. People are gonna judge you by how they see you act, not by how you think you are. Jackass.

[Well, he does have a point. But Tommy hadn't been in much of a mood admitting that he was wrong that day, and he's not really feeling it today either. He sort of looks bored when Brandon speaks.]

Yeah, and if I remember right, you're the one who was a asshole to me in the first place. So why the hell should I play nice?

Oh, yeah, because it's such an asshole thing to do to point out when you're already being a dick. Right. Wow. Thank you for illuminating that subject for me. Whew. I feel so much better now.

Do you ever shut up?

[At first she'd been completely unsure how to deal with this situation at all, worried about saying something wrong and ending up hurting feelings or making things awkward, but then Tommy had said all the more reason to flirt with her. It makes her feel like she's been slapped.

So she'd watched for a bit longer to see how Brandon handled it all but now she's just - done.]

That's enough. [There's something very controlled about her expression and her voice, like she's trying not to show too much. It lasts for a moment, before she smiles sweetly, completely faked, and her tone is just mocking. There's an edge of anger underneath it all.]

Tommy, why don't you come over? You can fuck me just to rub it in Brandon's face, I'm sure it'll be fun for everyone.

[He's made her feel like she's just something to be used in their grudge match, and it hurts, so she's lashing out in the only way she can think of right now.]

[He may have knocked his cup off his desk because GIRLLLL WAT YOU DOING HACKING HIS ENCRYPTIONS]

Jesus! Steph, what the hell?

[because yeah he's totally taking that the wrong way. there's pretty much no denying the hurt in his tone, even if it's manifesting as Teenaged Boy Anger.]

He can't fucking talk about me like that! [She's not really in a state where she's paying attention to other people's feelings right now. All she notices is the anger, and that it's directed at her, and she doesn't understand why.]

I'm not just some- [her voice catches; she hates that she's so upset by this] - some thing that he gets to use to hurt you.

I wasn't--!

[no. breathe. Steph is teaching him a lot about Feelings, okay. He's getting better at this.]

I know you aren't, okay? Where are you?

At my suite. [She takes a moment to calm down, to properly look at him]

I'm not mad at you, I know you don't think like that.

[... well he usually does. about other girls.

but he likes Steph, and he's smart enough to keep his mouth shut.]

You mind if I come over?

[Steph shrugs; now that's she's stopped putting on angry front, she just looks kind of sad and tires.] I don't think I'll be much fun right now.

I wasn't much fun the other night. C'mon.

The door's unlocked. [That and a small smile are as much of a 'yes' as he's going to get.

At least she's finally gotten her door fixed?]
