[There’s an awkward pause before she says her name. The cadence in her words is a bit off, a combination of never using the network before (or not that she can recall) and the unknown expectation of who will answer.]

Some of you may know me, I guess?

[Guh, she hates trying to cover it and just tackles the heart of the message.]

Look. I can’t remember anything since I was ghosted. [Or whatever the hell people are calling it.] Not this city, this turtle, or anyone.

But a doctor said that if I just hang around familiar things and people, even scents, then it might help me remember some things. I just, can’t force myself to remember them. So if you recognize me or know something else that could help I’d be grateful.

[A blink. That was... direct. But at least Rory has experience in dealing with being asked direct questions due to the Doctor, so for the most part he manages to brush it off.]

Ah--no, she's not. [An almost sad smile here.] For the better, really. She would never get enough of this place.

This place is crazy, so I can understand that. Do you guys have any kids?

[Not many people can put you guys in a serious question. After she asks it, Korra tilts her head and tries to gauge just how old Rory is.]

[Kids... ahahahaha. That's a whole story of its own altogether.]

[Since after River things got complicated, and well. He can live with River. She's amazing all by herself.]

[That short answer lets Korra know that they’re probably not on the turtle either.]

You miss them a lot, huh? [She even holds off from shoving the other half of the biscuit into her mouth to ask that question.]

[There's a twist to Rory's expression now at the question, fond as well as somewhat sad.]

Yeah, I do. [But he can manage. He did so for 2000 years while defending the Pandorica and Amy, after all. This isn't anything too bad, all things considered.]

[A sense of awkward dread rushes through Korra and her face faulters almost entirely when she sees the somewhat downward turn in Rory's face and the subtle influence it has in his tone.

Worse yet, she doesn't have any more food to stuff in her mouth to shut herself up. Not that it works that well.]

Want some dessert? [Everyone loves dessert. Offering even though she's not footing the bill...]
