There's a lot of things I've learned to just accept since I've been here. A magic bottle with the personification of death inside it is something that I can live with. What really confuses is me is how my dog ended up inside it and who put him there.

[At that moment there's a bark and Hawke's notch-eared mabari pushes his way into the feed, examining the strange thing that Hawke appears to be talking to. Hawke's hand falls to Notch's head as he pats the dog's head.]

Don't get me wrong, I love having him back, but answers are always nice.

[So would knowing that his dog isn't actually possessed by whatever corruption was in the bottle.]

At least the trip was fun enough. We should plan another one soon. Maybe this time without a dragon the size of a mountain, or the swamp. I'm thinking a chateau overlooking a lake.

Oh being bored seems like a change. Who knows? I may enjoy it.

Can't say it's something that I've had much experience with either. Must be why I'm so popular.

Mm likely I think. People do tend to seek out what they find as exciting or daring. By my estimation, you are both.

Oh, I daresay he DID in most things. He DID manage to get out of law...[And he's remembering that a lot of the worlds here do not exactly have the same equivalents as his own and correcting himself.] ...ah clerking school when most of us were stuck with it.

Clearly he needs to start sharing his good fortune with everyone else.

Ah, most often, Bahorel shared his affinity for punching things and breaking windows with the rest of us. I do wish he might come here though. It would be interesting to see what he would make of this.

Punching and breaking things? Sounds like skills we could use around here.

Really. It usually does come in handy upon some occasions. And it seems there is often a great need for them there.

If nothing else it might cause a bit more excitement around here too.

There IS that. It does seem like we've maybe gotten just a bit complacent in all of this. Some stirring up might do them all some good.

We only just got done fighting a dragon. Your work ethic is unethical.

Ah complacent when it comes to giving them a bit of a run for their money though? It seems we were the ones given that in the dragon incident, you know.

By now I'm well used to those in the ruling seat being unable to handle their own mess. How do you think I earned the title of Champion? If the Viscount in Kirkwall knew what he was doing I wouldn't have to be the hero all the time.

Though that's kind of a moot point with him being dead and all now.

Besides dead, rather. I would prefer the monarchy dead.
