VIDEO ♧ 001 ♧ there we were --- thick as thieves.
[ Eames figures this is part of some grand scheme to get back at him. He's never been the kindest chap, so he has no doubts that he's ticked off someone somewhere. He's up against some fine dreamers, the attention of the place -- the authenticity and the details in the world building should make him feel intimidated, but Eames takes this is a gamble. All high stakes with a lot to lose. He doesn't believe the whole situation where they're in a world of Dreams, Death and Living - he figures it's part of the game to lull the mark into a false sense of security by showing him familiar elements.
So Eames will play along until he manages a better picture of what's been painted to him. When the feed turns itself on, Eames looks positively lost. You don't spend so much time pretending to be other people without learning a few tricks yourself, so the act is a solid one. His tone is hesitant. ]
Right. Well. So I guess, the nice - Kedan - wassit? Explained a couple of things with this -- [ he makes a gesture with his hands. ] place.
This is a bit much to take in. So I gotta ask - are they known for their honesty? They tellin' us the whole story with being between death and life and dreaming?
[ a beat. ]
Name's Freddy, by the way. Freddy Simmonds. I guess. I'm new.
[ Eames is gonna push this act as far as he can. ]
(( OOC | if there'd be any reason for your character to pick up on the fact that it's an act - go ahead! c: ))

I think there are regularly scheduled days when she's available to anyone who wants to ask her questions or make requests. I only just arrived myself so I haven't gone but that's what I hear. You might want to try the network with your questions first, though. People have been rather helpful, I've found.
Re: ( VIDEO )
Yeah, it seems like people have been decent so far. All my questions are the sort that a dozen people have already asked, possibly.
( VIDEO )
Is there something I can help with perhaps? I haven't been here long but if I don't know the answer I could try to find someone who does.

[ step into the projections shoes. he's trying to see if anyone can clue him in on what's going on with reality. ]

[Sorry this is one thing she's not as helpful with.]
LMFAO NO tHIS IS PERFECT
That's good to know I guess. I just don't want people to worry, y'know?
[ and that is utter bs. but. o well. ]
I couldn't help myself XD
I haven't heard anyone confirm it, unfortunately, but it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility considering everything else about our circumstances.
[Magic, Eames. Magic is clearly at foot here okay.]
The only downside is that while they may not worry, they also won't know to come looking for us either.
IT"S WONDERFULLL uw u
Not everyone's got the luxury of someone who's willing to come look for them.
[ a beat. ]
And what's your theory?
no subject
Well I have someone who'd come look for me that could maybe get you back where you belong, if he finds us.
[She shouldn't be promising for Jhirem but she also can't imagine him refusing her on this point.]
But I can't say I have any theories. It has to be something out of the ordinary because this world is entirely disconnected from my own, so much that I can't even reach my deity so...beyond that I really couldn't say. Life, death, dreaming...it could be anything.
no subject
Who do we have to look forward too?
[ it doesn't really help with the situation and eames has no idea if she's a fellow dreamer or someone who was created during the world of the dream. the level of detail however, in the mythos is off putting like she's far too aware and involved. he considers the possibility that he's a figment of the subconscious that's based off a memory. much like the case with Mrs. Cobb. ]
I dunno. From what I've gathered, it's sort of a mish-mash of people from allegedly different scenarios. No one's really come out to say: 'oh yeah this is normal and it happens, all the time'. So I'd manage, it's safe to say that it's out of this world for anyone.
no subject
That much I can agree with. I'm sorry I wish I could say I knew more on the matter but I've only been here a short time so there are likely people better suited to give you theories.
[She shrugs a bit.]
I'm just hoping that eventually my deity realizes what's happened and comes to find me.
no subject
But what's your 'diety' and you got to do with each other?
no subject
[Talking about it like it's a legit thing? You bet.]
no subject
[ he's taking this as religious zealousness as opposed to you know... the real thing. ]
no subject
[This isn't a situation in which she can save herself.]
no subject
[ wow projection. w o w . ]
no subject
[She shrugs.]
I'm told that it's quite different where I'm from, compared to everyone else that I've met. I assume your world is quite different as well?
no subject
[ he's trying to figure out the aim here. confessing his secrets to some religious body to try to get him to open up within the dream?? it's not tactics he's seen anywhere before. ]
My world's a lot duller than yours seems, peach.
no subject
That's a shame, but I'm sure even if it's not the same in that way it must be exciting in others. Surely there's something unique about it?

[ he gives a hearty sort of laugh. ]
You seem to have a better done slice of life with your tea times with the higher powers.
no subject
[She shrugs.]
Do you know what you'll do now, now that you're here?
no subject
[ a beat. ]
Haven't thought that far. I'm honestly not a long-term planner.
no subject
[She shrugs.]
The same crime I expect is here as well.
