[It's the Doctor. Well, not exactly - it's clear from the current babbling that this particular incarnation has never been here before. And Annabeth's not presumptuousness enough to think he'd know her, if that were the case.]

United States. Long Island, specifically and mostly. Early 21st century.

[Wow, this guy sure is crazy, isn't he? He just takes a moment to wrap his head around the sheer amount of bonkers happening right now before he starts a connection.]

Funny how I happen to be your neighbor, but you seem to be more than able to fill two, maybe three rooms all on your own. Are you on something, monsieur, and if so where can I get some of whatever it is?

[Hello, Doctor! Have an eleven-year-old glaring haughtily at his console, as though he almost believes the glare will reach the alien.]

[ It's hard not to grin in response to watching that display, so happy and energetic and bright and it's like watching a kid inside of a grown-up. ]

The kissing people can be asked, but how are we supposed to know if the blue box is looking for you?

He'd been gone for weeks - months? - and frankly, she'd given up on him. He hadn't been the first person to disappear off the turtle, and he won't be the last.

She hadn't seen anyone ever come back before, though somehow it doesn't really surprise her that the Doctor would be the first.

Still. The way he's talking...it certainly sounds like him, but something about what he's saying doesn't sound quite right. As if he's brand new here, and doesn't remember anything at all about what had happened before.

She wears her armor and helmet, the way she'd always worn her helmet around him, and turns on the video, entire body tense as she watches the screen.]

[THE MOST SLACK JAWED EXPRESSION OF JUST UTTER STARING OH MY GOD SOMEONE FETCH THE SMELLING SALTS OR SOMETHING.]

[He's just -- looking pleasantly baffled, but a bit intrigued at the same time. Boxes and new neighbors and a man introducing himself as a doctor. Clearly medicine has gotten much stranger in the future.]
