[Those who have seen it before might recognise that Percy is sitting in Annabeth's suite and using her console rather than his own] Okay, so, first things first. Sea prunes? Don't go there. And I'm saying that as the guy whose dad probably invented them.
[His fingers reach for a nearby pen and absently tap it against the desk before he scrawls something meaningless on a piece of paper nearby. People who have spoken to Percy before might not that he's more twitchy than usual, almost agitated.] Second, um. Are there any jobs going in places that are a little more Foreigner friendly? Apparent customers won't buy things from places if the person serving them calls them a jerk, even if they're being one. The managers don't seem to like it, either. Something without boring, repetitive tasks would be great, too. As it turns out, that's kind of hard to deal with when you're ADHD. [A beat. He fold the paper in half absently slides it into a nearby book.] And if any writing could be in Ancient Greek, that would be awesome. Dyslexics of the world untie, that sort of thing.
[He picks the book up and places it somewhere off-screen, seemingly unaware of what he's doing. A grin tugs at the corner of his mouth, and he laughs, a little sheepishly] Okay, so I don't do a great job at selling myself. But I promise, I'm hardworking. I'm resourceful, I don't mind manual labour, I can talk to sea creatures and horses, and I make a mean garden hose. And I really, really need something to do here, or else I'm going to lose my mind. And believe me when I say no one wants a crazy demigod on their hands. [He gives a small wave, and is about to disappear when he thinks of something]
Oh yeah! Apparently there are some people who don't know how to swim? I can totally teach you, if you want. Or...I dunno, take people on water rides around the turtle. Floating around in the ocean in a bubble is pretty neat, I'm just saying.

Your console's getting dusty. And you just wasted some of my paper.

[Then she sighs again, but this time more in sympathy.] I'm heading home soon, okay? I can't remember what I came in here for.

And then it drops slightly, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. His stomach just kind of flipped over a bit at the word 'home', the idea of home being a place where they both are together.] Yeah. yeah, okay. I'll be here.
video
[Except that latter part she can't figure out, though she did notice the weird reaction, but the same connotations behind 'home' hadn't even crossed her mind. Not entirely. And any similar train of thought she's doing her best to ignore rn.] Like you go anywhere else.

Or else what, you'll beat me?

[Crossing her arms, she huffs up a little.] I'll think of something.

Like hitting the other arm so I can match?
video
I can't tell you, or it would ruin the element of surprise.

I'm considering finding padding. [Except that when she gets back to the apartment he clearly hasn't moved from his spot, busy replying to people and having conversations. It seems like he's enjoying himself, although his leg is jogging up and down under the desk as he talks.]
action
[Annabeth slips inside her own suite some time later with relative silence, and when she spots Percy at the desk, she's glad to see he's in a little better mood.]
So is this padding invisible...?

We could test it out. [She says it airily as she walks over, closing the gap and coming to stand behind him.] The only way to really know.

[Then she frowns in thought.] No. It'll come back to me, if it was important enough.
Any good job offers? [And back to a lightness in her tone. It's a legit question, she hasn't had much time to stalk it all yet ok.]
action
Most of my stuff is here, anyway. [He waves his hand around the room, resisting the temptation to try out the 'H' word again]
Uh - yeah, one so far. It's pretty simple, but it doesn't involve customer service, which is probably a good thing right now.
action
Hopefully it sticks. [Her tone might be a little teasing.]
action
At least there aren't any monsters to attack me and ruin anything, here? At least, not me specifically.
action
[A tiny snort of a laugh.] You probably just jinxed yourself.
