[Donnie flicks the video on in the late morning. He's wearing pajamas while a cafe is visible in the background. He frowns.]

Is there a doctor or a therapist here? I'm almost out of my medication and sometimes I see things when I'm not on them and I think it would be better if I could get more. I don't really know where to look to get the same thing I had back home because I don't know a lot about the pills except what they look like and what they're supposed to do and I don't even know if that's true because Dr Thurman could have been lying and it's not like my dad would know. He couldn't even remember her name.

I guess I don't really have to take the same thing. I sleepwalk a lot if I'm not taking them though and I wake up in weird places and that wasn't such a big deal in Middlesex because I knew where everything was and most people knew about my problem so they usually just woke me up and let me go home, but I don't think they'll be that nice about it here because it seems like they don't really like people that aren't Kedan.

[He sighs a little.]

[TEXT]

[Donatello decides to stick with text, because he doesn't entirely trust himself not to give away his barely restrained panic right now if he tries anything else.]

So forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is there anywhere I can find a map or something?

...Or even a help center for the unfortunately half-drowned? Travel agency? A Guide to the City, perhaps? The welcoming committee was helpful, but not that helpful.

Thank you.

[He's pretty sure if there is a place to collect information - and they sure made it sound like this happened often, so he'd surprised if there wasn't - he could slip in and steal their pamphlets or...whatever it was they had, without too much trouble. Still. If there's an easier method, he'd prefer it. He didn't want to go venturing out into the open half-cocked and alone.]

[Speaking of...he'd given up audio, so he'd also given up the chance of one of his brothers recognizing his voice. He'd have to think of something-]

[Ah.]

And if there's a place that sells pizza, I could really go for that right now.

[Not perfect, but it would have to do.]

[ACTION]

[No matter what happens during the day, once it hits the darkest hours of the next morning Donatello is going to brave heading up to the roof of his building {ME-2A} in the Metal Sector and start poking around the area. He'll be sticking very close to home and keeping it quiet, but if your character might have the skills and inclination to notice an extremely nervous ninja turtle, then by all means!]

[He'll be distracted by the different constellations in the sky and occasionally be stooping to investigate the material the buildings are made of. He'll keep reaching up to check that his staff is still there. Don't get too close or he will probably try to smack you with it.]

[ An audio post is sent out from the previously thought unoccupied 3B apartment complex Water Sector. The voice of the sender is delivered in a steady cadence. ]

I will never find myself champing at the bit for another opportunity to be choking on sea water then dragged out of the ocean only to be laid out on that cold, black shell like the morning catch. Even though the kedan were kind enough not to leave me to drown I don't find myself beholden to their efforts when I was nowhere near the edge of the shell before I found myself being fished out a second time.

[ The emotion in the account he gave of what he recently experienced was jarringly dispassionate to the point it almost sounded artificial. Despite how unsettling the implications were. ]

And asking if they or anyone under them were responsible for what happened might only invent a repeat performance. So I'll only ask once-- who did this? The emperor had always appeared to find contentment in quiet enmity, not outright maliciousness.

[ The terminal switches on in what is clearly a private residence in the earth sector - revealing a woman who looks like she could use a good night's sleep. Or at least a few hours of rest, and that was before looking like she'd been drug out of an ocean. To say nothing of her red skin, slightly pointed ears, and the tattoo under her left eye. ]

My name is Doctor Soranik Natu, Green Lantern of Sector 1417. [ A pause, and she runs a hand through her short hair. ] Since it is obvious my situation here will not change in the immediate future, I need a job. If anyone could direct me to the nearest clinic or hospital, it would be appreciated - I'm a highly accomplished neurosurgeon but quite capable of general medicine.

And if there is none - consider this a step towards founding one. If anyone finds themselves in need of medical attention they are more than welcome to come to my assigned living space or let me know via these terminals.

Thank you.

[ action - for kyle rayner ]
[ Upon finding her assigned living quarters and after a brief overview of all three floors, Soranik found her eyes drifting to the terminal. But first things first, before she announced her presence over the network. ]

Scan for power rings.

Scanning. Lantern 2814.4 located.

[ Soranik couldn't help the small smile that spread over her face at that - at least she wasn't alone here. And out of all the Lanterns that could have found their way to this place it was Kyle. ]

Lantern Rayner-- Kyle?

[When the video starts, the man sitting at the console is still peering warily at some of the hardware. It doesn't seem quite as advanced as the systems he'd outfitted the Aquacave with, but he doesn't particularly trust much of anything here. He's blond, probably tall, and somewhat damp-looking, dressed in an... interesting... orange scaled shirt. His posture is also impeccable, almost royal.] It isn't every day I start things off by being fished out of the sea. [He's not pleased. Not pleased at all, which is obvious from his scathing tone.] The joke is much less humorous to my wife and me.

Obviously I've been... filled in... by the natives, but I'm not sure I trust the information given. Alternate dimensions are rarely so straight-forward. [He mumbles something under his breath and it probably isn't all that appropriate or kingly, but hey, alternate dimensions, just another Tuesday. Or whatever day it is.]

I'm Arthur Curry of Atlantis. Contact me if you're someone I'd actually like to speak to, you'll know who you are. In the mean time, to my 'neighbors'... don't mind the noise, we're doing a little rearranging.

[ She probably should've stuck to a text post, or even voice, but sometimes even Lina Inverse's vanity overwhelms her common sense. She's sitting in front of the console wearing a broad grin, a little pile of gold and gems and such nearby. It looks valuable, but more or less innocuous. Less innocuous, however, is the golden helmet sitting further behind it -- it's in frame, off to the side, but it's not immediately noticeable. ]

If we haven't met already, then let me introduce myself. I am Lina Inverse, sorcery genius extraordinaire! None of you are from my world, so you probably haven't heard of me, but back home, I'm practically a household name! And I've got something you might be interested in, Keeliai.

[ She picks up a small gold coin, turning it over between her fingers. ]

You see, a few neat trinkets have come into my possession recently! Some of them even have magical properties. And as much as I love magical artifacts, I just don't need all this stuff! Besides, a girl's gotta eat, right? My prices are very competitive, so if you're curious, I'd be happy to show you the goods!

[There are a few seconds of dead air as someone is still tinkering around with the console, but then there is the sound of a man clearing his throat]

Giant turtle, yeah? It looks like Hinduism had it right a least. Well done and cheers on that everyone involved.

Anyway, introductions! I’m Tobias Matthews, Toby to my friends, and I think this would be the bit where I say that anyone willing to help out a newcomer would be welcome. So thanks again, cheers, etc and so on.

[There is some more awkward dead air, and then a long sharp exhale before Toby starts again. The forced smile can be heard in his voice]

Right, so anyone here know about getting games on these things, or at least a bit of television?
