[There’s an awkward pause before she says her name. The cadence in her words is a bit off, a combination of never using the network before (or not that she can recall) and the unknown expectation of who will answer.]

Some of you may know me, I guess?

[Guh, she hates trying to cover it and just tackles the heart of the message.]

Look. I can’t remember anything since I was ghosted. [Or whatever the hell people are calling it.] Not this city, this turtle, or anyone.

But a doctor said that if I just hang around familiar things and people, even scents, then it might help me remember some things. I just, can’t force myself to remember them. So if you recognize me or know something else that could help I’d be grateful.

[ It takes Jack two tries before he actually turns on the video feed, wondering how to approach this particular... situation. But when he does turn it on and speak, his voice is calm and encouraging. ]

Hey Korra. I think the doctor's idea is a good one but in the meantime, we'll try to fill you in on what you need to know.

My name's Jack... you work at my fishing shop.

[Her eyes widen. This, according to Julie, is her boss and she hasn't even started to think of what to say to excuse herself from however many days it's been.]

Hi Jack. I don't even know where to start, I just don't remember- anything. Have we been friends long?

[She knows Julie is new to the shop, so then she just might be too.]

English? [She looks over at the notebook on the coffee table off screen, the one that had all the weird characters.] Well thanks, but I don't know any of that.

[After talking with Zatanna and Julie, she stops off from apologizing for it.]

Did you want any of the fish in that- my freezer? [Still a stranger in her own suite.]

No, that's all right. I think that might be your own stock, actually. You've always brought the catches meant for sale right to the shop.

That’s a lot for just one person and a polar bear dog. [She shrugs. It’s just another little puzzle to toss along with the rest.]

Did you lose any memories too?

No, I didn't... but I didn't disappear either.

It was horrible not being able to have anyone hear, see, or even be able to touch aside from others who disappeared. [And they were total strangers to boot.]

You’re lucky really. [She gave a smile.] But hey, at least you'd have someone you knew, even if I don't know you.

[A few blank blinks before she finally just nods twice. She’s not in trouble, so that’s good.]

Yeah, and hopefully some memory recovery like Dr. McCoy said. [Typed, technically.]

Sorry... memory recovery isn't something I'm very good at.

That's okay. I shouldn't be looking for shortcuts anyway. [Despite that she wants to.]

I think it's supposed to just come back naturally.
