Hi. My name’s. Korra. I’m the Avatar.

[There’s an awkward pause before she says her name. The cadence in her words is a bit off, a combination of never using the network before (or not that she can recall) and the unknown expectation of who will answer.]

Some of you may know me, I guess?

[Guh, she hates trying to cover it and just tackles the heart of the message.]

Look. I can’t remember anything since I was ghosted. [Or whatever the hell people are calling it.] Not this city, this turtle, or anyone.

But a doctor said that if I just hang around familiar things and people, even scents, then it might help me remember some things. I just, can’t force myself to remember them. So if you recognize me or know something else that could help I’d be grateful.

Yeah, I'm sorry that I don't remember you. [That anonymous guilt for something she can't help. Ugh. She hates not knowing.]

Did you end up ghosting too?

I think I'd be willing to forgive you this time.

[It comes out as a light-hearted tease, but underneath, she does genuinely mean it. In the sense that she didn't blame Korra for it one bit. Not like it was her fault.]

I did, actually. Worst experience since the time I was bedridden with a cold for a week. One of my friends was able to paint me back into existence, fortunately.

[That makes her smile. If she's been friend with Zatanna, then it must have been a fun one with the way she's talking to her.]

That painting stuff was pretty weird. But you didn't lose your memories or anything like that, did you?

[Her smile suddenly looks a little more nervous. Possibly even pained.]

I won't know what I've forgotten until I remember.

But if no one else knows if you've forgotten something, then maybe you didn’t. [Right?] Unless they forgot it too…

[She shakes her head.]

Never mind, I think I just confused myself.

Don't worry about it, Korra.

Personally, I'd much rather talk about something else right now. Like...you know...just about anything.

Okay. [Changing the subject is hard for her, it’s all she knows at the moment.]

…what do we usually talk about?

Whatever's on our minds at the moment.

Good food, even better friends, maybe a bit of your bending against my magic.

[And her minds is just casually blown.]

Magic? [From what Mark has told her, that was why he ended up being the Avatar for a week or so.]

Like…fighting each other?

We haven't really sparred yet, but I guess we could if you promise to go easy on me.

But besides that...I meant more along the lines of "you show me yours, and I'll show you mine."

[She can’t help but smile.] I wouldn’t hurt you. But I’ve never seen magic before, so I’d like to see a little if that’s okay.

[Tentative on “little” because she’s heard from Mark that magic gave him her bending for a time. Last thing she wants to lose the one thing she can actually remember.]

[Considering the circumstances, Zatanna might be willing to take things slow. For now.]

Okay! I'll take you up on that. [When she finishes seeing who else knows her.]

Give me a call whenever you have things better figured out, alright? My schedule's pretty open.

You...uh...do remember how to call people on the console, right?

[Since you're using it right now.]

I'm learning it as I go. [Remember, no. Just try harder until she can figure it out, yes.]

I don't really have a schedule, so probably soon.

[...platonically, of course.]

[She's going to assume platonic. Just don't claim to be her girlfriend. She's having enough trouble figuring Mako out.]
