Hi. My name’s. Korra. I’m the Avatar.
[There’s an awkward pause before she says her name. The cadence in her words is a bit off, a combination of never using the network before (or not that she can recall) and the unknown expectation of who will answer.]
Some of you may know me, I guess?
[Guh, she hates trying to cover it and just tackles the heart of the message.]
Look. I can’t remember anything since I was ghosted. [Or whatever the hell people are calling it.] Not this city, this turtle, or anyone.
But a doctor said that if I just hang around familiar things and people, even scents, then it might help me remember some things. I just, can’t force myself to remember them. So if you recognize me or know something else that could help I’d be grateful.

We've... [How to describe it?] We've worked together, on occasion. You, Mako, his brother Bolin, and Asami Sato. As far as I can tell, you're all reasonably good friends. [As far as she wants to know, at least, because the last thing she wants to do is get involved in--whatever the deal is with the two of them and Miss Sato.]
Sounds like Mako's got the basics down already, but I'll be honest, Korra. I don't know what I should be telling you and what I should let you try and remember for yourself. That said, if you have anything you really want to know, you might as well ask.
video;
Um, okay. How does this whole Avatar thing work? Am I supposed to do anything or is it just some kind of title? Someone named Tarrlok told me to meditate because there’s spirit stuff involved.
video;
The way I understand it, you're the bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world. Some kind of mediator. Don't ask me what that entails besides obstruction of justice and property damage, because I don't have the faintest idea. Probably a lot of meditating.
[Her lips twist in annoyance.] Tarrlok isn't wrong about that. But I'd keep an eye on him if I were you.
Re: video;
Oops.]
Why, what's with Tarrlok?
video; private
He kidnapped you, back home. Thought he could use the absence of the Avatar to his benefit. It didn't work out for him. He hasn't made any moves here, but it's naive to assume he doesn't have something up his sleeve.
[And there's a distinct possibility he's lost a chunk of his own memory, too--but that's another matter entirely.]

I had no idea… [That’s just baffling to her, he seemed helpful. Maybe he was trying to get her while her guard was down?]
Anyone else I should know about?
video; private
Amon. Tarrlok's brother and self-styled revolutionary. Might call himself Noatak these days instead. If he's wearing the mask, he'll be easy to spot--white, red circle on the forehead.
He took away our bending, kidnapped your mentor and his kids, started an all-out war in Republic City. He's got remarkably good PR here, but don't be fooled--he has to be planning something, and if I know him, he'll try to take advantage of the fact that you can't remember any of it.

Korra’s mouth goes slack. She was completely fooled by the man who called himself Noatak and is now wondering just who the heck else she’s talked to that may have done something horrible. Kidnapping, starting wars…
Being with Mako is sounding a lot safer now.]
Thanks, I’ll make sure to avoid them if they try anything. [She tilts her head and asks tentatively:] Are you my earthbending teacher?
video; private
...he's contacted you already, hasn't he? What did he say to you?
[A faint snort, a shake of her head.] Seems to me you had earthbending pretty well mastered when you arrived in Republic City.
[At least if the property damage was anything to go by--but it's not really fair to needle Korra about that when she can't even remember doing it, is it.]
video; private
Well, he wanted to know if I remembered my bending and Noatak also said he has some older newspapers from Republic City. I think he’s going to give them to me to see if they help me remember anything.
[Not exactly the expected behavior of a war starting kidnapper, but then again, he did sound a little on the creepy side.]

It would've been best to keep him in the dark about your amnesia for as long as possible, but we can't help that now. What I do know is he has no reason to help you.
And if you can get me a copy of those newspapers, I'd appreciate it. [Best to stay informed, after all.]

Got it. I’ll keep an eye out for either of them. [Committing Noatak and Tarrlok to memory as untrustworthy was surprisingly easy. She just chalked it up to having the extra room since everything else is gone.]
Where can I get them to you?
