As some of you may know, I was hired to find the person responsible for multiple killings in September, along with an attempted homicide. That person has now killed the Emperor. [ There's a flash of something like remorse, but it only lasts a second before her jaw tightens. There's no time to feel guilty for not catching the person sooner. She has to stop him now, before he kills again. ]

I have a list of suspects. I've narrowed it down significantly. If you were one of the people I talked to about it, please see me immediately.

[ The message is simple, one she can essentially cut-and-paste to each person. It's short, but far from sweet. She doubts they'll appreciate it. If the killer is killing again, then they have to move to catch him, and quickly. So screw pleasantries. ]

Get in touch with me as soon as possible.

[ Sharon looks tired. She doesn't want to have this conversation, but it's part of the job. The horrible thing is, Barry seems like a nice guy. A good guy. But that doesn't mean he can't be a killer. ]

Barry, I hate to ask this, but do you have an alibi for the time when the Emperor was killed, and is there anyone who can verify it?

Uh. [Percy looks visibly startled] Hi?

[ Geez, this kid looks young. Like, well, a kid. And she's not getting the killer vibe from him. But a job's a job, and psychotic killers are good at hiding in plain sight. ]

Hi. I have some questions in regards to the killings. To be clear, you're not a suspect, but I want to clear as many people as possible so we have a shortlist of viable suspects. It's standard procedure.

First, can you tell me what happened to you the week everyone switched abilities, genders, and ages?

Sure, okay. [He still seems confused, but his face is open, honest. He does glance over his shoulder, though, like he's instinctively looking for something]

Nothing. I was lucky enough that it missed me, I guess.

Can anyone confirm that?

Yeah, my girlfriend. We had - other things on our mind at the time. [His expression tightens, a shadow flickering over his face.] Her name's Annabeth Chase.

Can I ask...why you're asking me? I mean, unless you're asking every person on the turtle, there has to be a reason why I'm on the list of 'not suspects', right?

We have a very general description of the person to go on, and you just barely qualify. I'm trying to rule out as many potential suspects as possible.

Was Annabeth with you when the spell broke? [ She gives an approximation of the date and time. ] Or anyone else?

Oh. [There's a pause here. Honestly, he's exhausted and he doesn't want to get involved, but he knows Annabeth likes information] Can you tell me what the description is?

[He nods] Yeah, we were in our suite. I guess that most people who know us could confirm that we basically...never left it around that time. And not without each other.

[ She's just going to... ignore that question about a description. He's still on the suspects list, after all. Besides, the tidbit of information is far more interesting to her. ]

Really? Are you two that close? Or was one of you injured somehow that week?

[Something like frustration crosses his face, but honestly? Percy is tired at this point. He knows he didn't do it, and if she wants to take charge of this, she's welcome to do it. He's had it up to here with being a hero for the time being.

His jaw clenches a little, and he ducks his head. He seems more awkward than anything else though] That first one, mostly. Just, it's pretty established that neither of us were really paying attention to what was happening around this place. Sorry I can't help more.

It's all right. I'm just trying to zero in on anything that I can verify as conclusive.

I heard you've had some trouble with the kedan. May I ask what it was about?

[He blinks a couple of times, and then just stares. The honest surprise is obvious] What?

I heard you have issues with the kedan. I was hoping to hear your side of it and see if there was anything to it.

[Now he scowls, running out of patience. Percy's gone through life with people wrongfully accusing him of things, and he's raw enough now that this just rubs him up the wrong way] Okay, so who are you hearing these things from? I don't have any problems with the kedan, unless you count one of my old bosses firing me because my dog knocked over a bunch of stock?

I get that you're trying to solve a murder here, but it kind of sucks to be minding my own business and to have some person that I don't know - who could even be the killer themselves! - come and treat me like a murder suspect because of information that I don't have any idea about. I don't kill people.

[ Sharon keeps her face stone-like as he talks, but her mind is making notes. Was that really it? Costigan was painting this kid as suspicious based on a dog knocking some stock over? ]

Most people here don't. [ Her tone is calm. Not quite calming, but it doesn't sound like she's going to attack him any time soon. ]

The list of people I haven't cleared is down to less than fifteen people. I know it's bothersome, but I want to clear as many people as I can.

If someone's lying about you having trouble with the kedan, or overstating the events' importance, that might mean they're trying to throw guilt on you to deflect from themselves.

That's why I'm asking.

If it's all right with you, could you tell me more about the incident, maybe give me the name of the boss so I could talk with him?

[His short temper is even shorter these days. Percy's scowl only deepens, and he visibly shuts off, withdraws from the conversation. his voice is tight when he speaks]

No. Ask your source, if you need information about me that bad. I'm done.

[ooc: AS A NOTE he was involved in the blowing up of the cloning facility months ago in which some kedan died, but he sees that as more of a conflict with the emperor than with the kedan which is why he's so surprised :'D]

That's why I'm suspicious of the source. The person has given me three names as suspects. I'm curious as to why someone would attempt to send me after you. Is there anything that could be used against you?

Even if there was, I wouldn't tell you? Why would I tell a total stranger that there's something that can be use against me? You might, gee I don't know, use it against me?

Anything I've done that's anyone's business is on the network. You can find it yourself. [He really does hang up this time.]
