 [ a haggard looking young man sits on a bed, his hands wringing together over and over again as he speaks. There's a hollowness to his stare, and he takes a little longer than most between his sentences, thoughtfully ]

I was working...on having responsibilities again. I baked bread starting at four in the morning until noon. At noon I fed the geese. Depending on the day, I might have free time after that, but by dinner I helped Katniss cook and I would dead-head the flowers in the garden.

The schedule...helped.

[ his hands spasm erratically for a moment, then still as Peeta clenches his jaw ]

And now I'm here. [ he offers a tight smile ] And that means I'm not feeding geese and the garden's not going anywhere anytime soon. Not to mention there's a possible deer overpopulation problem in District Twelve.

[ he sighs ]

So there go my responsibilities. And schedule. I guess this serves as a fair warning for you all.

You can still find some kind of schedule in this place. If baking is what you like I'm sure you'd be welcomed as a baker.

They said we had to work. [ a snort ] Always, someone else telling us what we have to do. But I guess that's alright. It beats other alternatives.

Schedules are important. I have to rebuild one. It is difficult. I am not certain how to go about it in this place. I have far too much unscheduled time and it becomes extremely stressful.

Yeah. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out something to occupy myself with. Otherwise...otherwise the free time leads to too much thinking.

I'm not good with free time anymore. Dr. Aurelis...[ he pauses ] Something to keep my hands busy will help.

[Ororo's not sure exactly what he means by fair warning, which is why she's limiting her response to audio and not easily recognised video.]

[ he's quiet for a long time before the corner of his mouth lifts up in a friendly grin ]

Someone would be able to stop me after one or two I think. [ he knocks on his leg, which makes a hollow sound like someone hitting an empty aluminum can ] I don't move that fast. Or quietly.

I found that once you manage to find some work, it's not so hard to make a schedule around it. Especially if you don't mind extra hours. The empty time before that, when you don't know what to be doing with your day and when that's going to change was probably the thing I hated most when I got here, but it didn't last long.

What district did they put you in?

[ he nods, taking the statement in before misunderstanding ]

I'm from District Twelve. Though I wasn't technically "put" there until after the war...could've been worse, I guess. At least they exiled me to a District I already knew.

[Have a man in his mid/late forties, with greying hair, a goatee and glasses. He looks absolutely unobtrusive, a sort of quaint everyman with a faint professorial air.

And when he speaks, a slight British accent.]

If it's a schedule you're concerned about, I do teach classes here. I-- well, I'm an anthropology professor, but I know my way around several other subjects as well. It is hard to be off one's schedule, believe me I'm quite aware.

[Oh he's just so cheerful. Nevermind that 'Craig's' ignorance is far and away what Bruce is currently thinking. Which is: oh hey this person sounds like a danger to themselves and those around them.]

Structure is a rough thing to lose, after some events. [ you know, like whatever shit you kids had to go through 8( He doesn't know the details yet but hoo boy he's not thrilled about it. He understands, though. ]

One of the best things to do is start small - structure and schedules in the house and then gradually work other things into it. S'what a good friend of mine did.

[ and, a pause: ]

I think you're the one Katniss is lookin' for.

That's what I did too, at first. I planted some bushes, baked bread, fed geese when Haymitch was too drunk. Now it feels like everything's just been... [ he sighs ] uprooted. And I'm back to square one, I think. [ he doesn't sound frustrated, but his eyebrows are furrowed and his jaw is definitely clenched ]

Do you know where I might be able to find her? [ he has no intention of going there until he knows he won't react, but maybe knowing where she lives will help with the preventative measures ]

[Oh, okay so he's actually been meaning to talk to people on the network but keeps getting distracted, until he hears Peeta and he's frowning a little. He has an accent as he talks.]

A fair warning to what exactly?

I've heard that. But...this place is still. Not what I'm used to.

[She just -- studies him for a moment, curious and tilting her head, a bit like a bird.]

There are jobs here. Don't have one yet myself, but it might help.

[The boy sounds similar to that girl she met. That same rough edge. Clearly whatever he's been through in his world it was pretty back.

Pepper turns on the video so he can see her, but she won't be offended if he turns his off on her. She's in one of her normal suits, hair pulled back partway and a coffee cup holding down several papers. Pepper clearly doesn't look like a puffed up Capital person, but she doesn't look like someone Peeta would find in any of the districts. She also doesn't offer a chipper smile, just her normal analytically straight line face.]

You could still have responsibilities here if you wanted to. A scheduled too.

I'm sure you have questions though, I can answer some of them.

I'd have to find them. And that means going out in the world that I don't know. This whole place... [ he hasn't talked to so many people in a long time, and he looks exhausted and perhaps a little panicky ]
