It is strange how quickly time passes here.

[Will smiles into the video feed, his expression pleasant but contemplative. He had been keeping much to himself recently. Which was pleasant enough, but had left a great deal of time for thinking.]

If I was at home, it would be December soon. December and Christmas and my birthday.

Excuse me Foreigners, I have a request to make. I've been told that there are those here who might be able to teach runes -- or other magics -- to others. Most unfortunately, I've had a young woman named Sonja attempting to obscure who that might be, so I'm making the appeal directly.

If there are people who are indeed capable of sharing these remarkable abilities, and who might be willing to discuss the possibility with me, please let me know. If you'd prefer to meet in person, I can meet you anywhere you'd like.

I've been wondering about some things lately. I understand that I need to get some sort of job here. [Will laughs lightly.] But I'm afraid that I really don't know what I could do. I used to help care for the chickens and rabbit back home, but I don't think there would be much call for that here.

And I suppose there is jewelry. I've been taught a bit about engraving. But I don't really know whether that will be of any use either.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Those of you who know me know that I tend to be way bigger on the magic than science stuff. Which is why...for those of you on the other side, I have a question. Mmm--no, not really a question, I guess. More like a...request? Kind of?

Basically, I was wondering how much anybody could tell me on electromagnetic energy or radiation or whatever you call it. Anything at all, but preferably if you've ever had any experience with it on a more...supernatural scale.

[So, really, she's not going completely to the ~~Dark~~ Science side just yet.]

Rather a curious situation, this.

[If there were two words to describe the boy on the console, they would be pleasant and unremarkable. His expression was pleasant enough, but there was nothing about him that stood out. Only, there was an odd sense of oldness in his eyes.]

Don't think I've ever met a turtle of quite this size before. I wonder, has anyone here spoken to him? [The boy smiles blandly.] I expect he would have some rather marvelous stories to tell.

Ah, but I suppose I've been rude in not introducing myself. I am Will Stanton. I am from a small town in Buckinghamshire called Huntercombe. I don't really expect that anyone here would know of it.
