[Here's a familiar face that hasn't shown up on the network in a while now. Santo is hanging out in front of the monitor, still flexing his hand and making sure that he can move it without any problems. He's still to afraid to try to reassemble himself.]

Hey, nerds! Long time, no see!

Do you wanna know what really sucks? I'll tell you anyway. It's being totally unable to move, so you're stuck on a couch for weeks without any TV to watch. I mean, come on, there's aren't even any old episodes of Law & Order to kill time with.

None of you probably get that though, since you were off having adventures and saving turtles or whatever. Lucky jerks.

Anyway, I've been bored forever now, and really need some kind of entertainment. Anybody wanna spar and see if I die when I break apart? Come on, it'll be fun on a bun.

Or, you know, tell me a story about what's been going on here. Or something from your home. I'm totally good for anything. I mostly just want to make sure everyone isn't dead, so check in, guys. You know... The important ones... Which is everybody, cool?

[He starts to shut off the feed, but then stops for a moment, looking a bit unsure.]

Oh, and... Witch- I mean, Wanda? There's something I need to talk to you about. I kind of meant to do it a while ago, but... Yeah, forced to become a couch boulder.

[OOC: And with this, Santo is officially off hiatus!]

[ the video's on and look!! there's liz!! she looks a little more pumped than she did the last time she did a video. she's wearing a baggy shirt that hangs off her shoulders and shorts and she waves. ]

-- H-hi! Hi, everyone! Sorry for like, bothering you guys and making a video again, but I --

Okay, so this probably isn't that big of a deal to everyone. And I mean like, I was a little happy for them to be gone for a while too, but I realized that... like... not... having them kind of sucked, you know? Because I couldn't fly anymore and I really like flying --

[ she cuts herself off. ]

Okay. Um. Just watch!

[ she closes her eyes and after a moment, from her shoulders up to her head, it completely sets on fire. her face is engulfed in flames and her shoulders are burning. however, it's pretty obvious that she's not burning very hot and it goes out a few seconds after. ]

My fire's back! Well. Sort of. I mean, like, I can flame on all the way, but I can't fly for that long and I get tired really easily but! It's back! [ and she grins. the biggest she has since she's gotten here. ]

Anyways, um. Yeah! I just wanted to show you guys. [ she blushes a little now, embararssed. and there's another pause as she shifts, debating on leaving a section just for her team: toro and black widow and black canary. but then she realizes she would want that private and she doesn't know how to so....

the feed cuts!

[There's no real reason for Miles to make this a video other than the novelty of it, so he does.]

I'm just curious, out of all of us who got brought here, how many are from Earth? And out of those, how many are from New York?

[He shrugs.] I guess that's it. I know there's more important stuff going on, but I was just wondering.

[ Raven's hood is raised as she adjusts the video feed; the consoles were straightforward and familiar enough to technology she was used to using (though it was an odd juxtaposition to the fantasy-like setting of the rest of the city) that took only a cursory browse through some of the most recent messages before making this one. It had taken her a while to decide how to phrase this, tempered by a complete lack of response when trying her Titans communicator so she supposed "Titans, respond" was probably not going to produce the result she wanted -- and quite possibly, an unwelcome reaction. Her abilities were dismayingly missing, something the natives had not been especially forthcoming in response to other than to claim it was not their doing but that of Tu Vishan's. So she purposely chooses not to introduce herself and moves right into the reason for her message. ]

I take it asking the Emperor what business she has summoning us across dimensions isn't going to get any kind of an answer? I understand from the kedan that people have been arriving here for nearly a year, so please tell me someone thought to keep an account of important events that have taken place. You can reply with it here or deliver it in person.

[ She ends the video feed but after a moment's thought, a text portion is added with a moderate security setting, just to see who would come nosing around to hack the encryption. ]

[For someone who's just found himself the winner of a cheap turtle cruise, Scott looks pretty calm sitting in his suite with his chin propped on the palm of his hand. He's skimmed the console posts and wheedled tiny bits of information from the kedan. He knows something is up with the turtle. ]

God only knows I deserve a vacation on a tropical turtle paradise right about now, but usually when I take my days off I like them sunny, not sickly. [Here he straightens, features losing some of their humor.] I know I'm the new guy around here, but if there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

[Admittedly, this might not be his best move considering he still has no idea why or by whom he was brought here, but no one's killed him (yet) so Scott's taking that as a good sign.]

Oh, and.

[The levity's back in his voice now but it's harder, more forced, and anyone paying attention can hear the undercurrent of worry slowly rising to the surface. He's already asked Tea but she'd only been one person and this turtle place is massive. Can't hurt to ask around more.]

If anyone's seen a group of nine kids - including two fish kids and a head in a jar - I'd also like to know, thanks. You can't miss 'em. Really.

A turtle, huh? [ ace sounds surprisingly calm for someone who has recently found themselves on a giant turtle. it's partially a product of the world he comes from, and partially the fact that he's been here for while by the time he's posting this. also, he's exhausted which helps with the avoiding public freak outs. ] Is it a Sea King, or something else? And does this place always make it feel like you've got Seastone on you?

[ it's not intended as a subtle way of finding out if anyone from his world around, but, hey. if it does that as well, that would be awesome. ]

Ah, I should probably introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Portgas D. Ace. It's nice to meet you all. [ a beat. ] So to speak, anyways.

I don't suppose anyone's seen an annoying rubber kid around. Kind of stupid, wears a straw hat, answers to Luffy? Or a giant man with a white mustache named Whitebeard? [ he's crossing his fingers and hoping the answer is no. ]

[Hannibal stands centered in front of the camera, looking oddly calm and not disheveled in the slightest.]

I suppose I should make a proper introduction, and this seems the best way to do it although it's dreadfully impersonal.

I am Dr. Hannibal Lecter. I'm a psychiatrist, and was a physician for many years before my retirement from that field. However, if I've understood correctly we are facing some difficult times here, so I am happy to offer my medical services if needed. A shame about the rationing, too. Proper nutrition is essential, and there's nothing quite like a well-cooked meal.

But, regardless of the situation, I am very pleased to meet you all and I hope we can get to know each other better.

[So, normally, Pete was more than willing to respect the level of semi-secrecy that Batgirl--well, one of them, anyway--had been careful to set up for the young super-team she'd been putting together.

However, considering how bad things were getting now with the power loss? He was willing to put that aside for the moment. Especially with all the new supers who'd shown up since he last checked in. He only knew of a small handful of confirmed cases, but frankly? He was beginning to suspect that the odds were good that anyone coming from a place that had superheroes happened to be one. Or at least have powers of some kind. So a blind broadcast seemed more than worth the risk.]

I'm gonna go ahead and spare you guys the whole "help, help, my powers are missing" thing, and just get right to the point. Yes, I know it's happening to a lot of us, and I know some of us are having minor existential crises over it. I'm not here about that part of it. Besides, certain people way more photogenic than myself already got that covered. Me, I'm more concerned about what we're gonna do next. Kinda like that space-case we picked up a while back.

[Oh god don't hate him Kirk and Spock it's just the Spidey persona talking]

I know plenty of us younger Turtle-nauts had special powers, or experience dressing up in snazzy outfits to go around fighting the bad guys back home. And I definitely know not all of us are used to working with other people. But for those of us who are still kinda new at this, or just happen to be young enough we haven't had time to create seventeen different contingency plans for this particular scenario. So I think we should pool our efforts, and do whatever we can to make sure we don't get ourselves killed.

Especially because in my experience? Bad things on this scale tend to be followed by more bad things. And bad people getting a little more confident. So let's follow the lead of that rocket jockey and start figuring out what kind of skills we can all bring to the table. If you're up for it, let me know. The sooner we can get together and start helping each other out, the better.

[At least if anybody got too upset, he could always brush this off as organizing in the wake of the power loss. Which was technically true, so it wasn't like he'd be outright lying about this little recruitment drive.]

[ooc note: anyone paying attention to things like location broadcast, etc., would notice this is coming from Pete's home console. He'll be more than happy to lie about explain that too, considering even though reconstruction has started, the place is still pretty thoroughly destroyed. Never know who could creep in.]

[Tony starts out by fidgeting in front of the console. He's apparently trying to make his shirt settle correctly, but it's a bit too small. Right. Important business.]

Someone remind me that tailored clothing is not always the way to go.

Okay, I think we need to forget powers. Let's wipe that word out for now. Let's talk about energy for a minute. These things seem to be working just fine, by the way. No interference as far as I can tell. Anyone having trouble with theirs? Anyway, just something worth noting.

Here's something interesting: Whatever is going on seems to be interfering with a broad spectrum of energy sources. Different kinds of energy which normally shouldn't have anything to do with each other. Unless we're all hooked up to the same juice, which raises a whole different set of questions.

So maybe it's a bug in the universe. Maybe we've hit some interference. This is all speculation, of course, but if that is what we've got, then it's pretty sophisticated interference. It knows how to reroute power.

[Carol is seated calmly in front of the console in her suite, long hair braided and pulled over her shoulder, dressed casually in a t-shirt, her chin resting in her hand]

So no powers. Kinda sucks, I guess, but what're you gonna do? At least there's not a dinosaur chasing me this time. [She shrugs, casually, as if she's not at all bothered by the loss of her powers. She is bothered, of course, but she has other skills to defend herself with. Military and martial arts training can't be taken away from you like superpowers can be]

Anyway, the real point of this is that I'm curious. How many of our previously powered population [Alliteration!] actually know how to fight without their powers? Because apparently we're here to fight something and we have no idea how long this no powers thing is gonna last. Just, you know, for reference. And if you don't know how to fight powerless, would you be willing to learn? Actually, how many of our always unpowered population know how to fight? That's probably important. [She just kind of assumes a lot of people without powers would know how to defend themselves. That's how it works in her experience] I know someone else offered to teach and I probably could too.

Just a thought.

[ who's THIS nerd? oh, it's just Gwen Stacy. who's been here for over a week now, but she certainly pretended not to be until she ran into a certain webslinging photographer, and now she's- well, she's still a little bit in denial of being here and of everything she's heard about this place, but at least she isn't going completely insane over it. so she turns on the feed and she's sitting at the computer with the sort of practiced poise any seventeen year-old girl learns to sit with when speaking with someone over a webcam ( spoiler: nobody but Gwen thinks of things like this ). she's a little nervous, but it doesn't show. she just has a question, that's all. no big deal.

she's still going to be a bit formal about it anyway, but nobigdeal.

Hello everyone, my name is Gwen Stacy and I'm- [ an intern at OsCorp Industries ohwait! that means nothing here. ] -from New York, and I just wanted to introduce myself to you all, but also- [ she takes a breath, tries to be careful of her wording ] I know this city is understood to be an in-between, or a dream world, so I imagine a lot of what goes on here has to do with magic or ..something, but for the sake of my own sanity I really must ask; where does this society stand in regards to the sciences? Is there some sort of laboratory here at all? Because, as much as I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the community by way of restoring some of the older buildings here- [ SHE HATES IT ] I would really love to continue the same type of work I did back home. Which was, simply put, lab sciences.

So. Who.. should I talk to, if I'm looking for that kind of work? I actually have my resume on my iPad, if there's an issue of having the proper credentials or anything like that, but for now I'm really only asking in the general sense.

Out of curiosity: For anyone here who has...powers, I guess [He's still not used to saying that, but 'bending' doesn't adequately describe the abilities of most people here.] have you had any difficulties, lately?

I guess I need a better explanation than that: I train quite extensively every evening and it's been getting noticeably more difficult lately. This'll sound a bit dramatic if I'm just struggling for other reasons, but I figured it couldn't hurt to check.

[That, and, after seeing himself lose his bending when the Commander showed him his future, he's a bit on edge about any disturbance where that is concerned. He's somewhat hoping it's just him - a lot has gone on lately, after all - because he can more easily fix his own problems than something that's happening to everyone.]
