Hello! I do not believe I am acquainted with many of you, so I introduce myself first.

[He presents a tilted head-bob of a bow and a crooked smile.]

I was born with the name Félicien Lesgle, though you may oft hear me referred to by L'Aigle or Bossuet, and have been borne here from Paris, France, of the early 19th century -- the summer of 1832, if we are to be precise.

[A small pause here.]

I understand that many of you come from times that are not akin to my own, and as such, are far better acquainted with the makings of human flight.

Although I do not know how common the more, ah, reptilian of aerial steeds are across your various lands, I appeal to you, Mesdames et Messieurs, for any advice or warnings that a man might take to heart on his maiden voyage to the clouds!

[Here's a seldom seen face on the network. Jehan's been sick and it shows--he's paler than normal and he sounds a little stuffy.

(The illness was actually convenient. He hasn't been feeling very sociable and this gave him a very good reason to not be sociable.)

But he is feeling better and he supposes he'd best let whoever may have been looking for him know, as well as see who all has shown up in his absence. In the background, you can hear his panpipes playing 19th century Christmas carols]

I had forgotten that simply because I am indisposed does not mean that the world at large is equally indisposed. I have been largely unavailable for the last month, for reasons I suspect are obvious [and here he turns to cough] and I am afraid I have no idea where we are or what has happened. Would anyone be so kind as to, ah, inform me?

For those who may have joined us in the last month, or for those who may have forgotten my face, I am Jean Prouvaire, formerly of Paris.

If there are people here by the names of Flynn, Jonathan, or Walter, I would very much like to know. If we have been summoned here to fight, I would like to think that there's a chance, small though it may be. Either way, thank you.

By the by, my home... did not provide a place where I could have learned how to swim. As it seems that it would behoove me to learn here, is there a place where I might do so?
